Does anybody have any stimulants/wakefulness promoting agents that work for them?

I’ve tried Armodafinil and caffeine. They both give me hives, brain fog and itchiness. Especially armodafinil. Caffeine I’ve tried multiple forms, not just coffee, all the same result.

As I understand it most stimulants (prescription or not) release a lot of histamine but wondering if there are ones that work for those with HI.

I was thinking of building a semi-box to have a physical barrier between my loud PC with insane coil whine and my desk. The box would be made of wood and possibly some sound absorbing material inside. The box would only enclose one side and the top would hover above to allow airflow.

Curious if anyone’s tried something like this before and what impacts it’d have on airflow.
