ML1 leaves gap I can't seem to avoid

I don't have this problem with my right leaning increases(as you can see I'm increasing on both side here) only my left leaning but the gaps make it look so uneven. I'm doing exactly what the tutorials say. The yarn goes over the needle insert knitwise into the back and knit.

For me it's when my paranoia just seem to disappear when I went NC. It isn't completely gone(Maybe once every couple months instead of daily) but that was by far the biggest change. I always used to be on edge feel unsafe even in my own home when I haven't lived with them in 2 years.

For years I tried to improve it, thought it might be caused by smoking weed. But no it was just bc of my parents.
