I haven't narrowed down the exact genus/species yet, but this snail at least belongs to the family Vertiginidae, a group of extremely small snails with strangely elaborate, varied shell openings. These snails mostly live in leaf litter, where they are often overlooked. If I hadn't already been looking for other minute snail species, I never would have seen them! The last image is an example of one of the members of the gastrocopta genus (*Gastrocopta armifera*), showing what they look like up close - I have no idea if this is the correct species though, I need to get a close up look at the opening to see the shape of the lip. I'm hoping to find more so I can start breeding these lil guys!

Cat caught a mouse at some point last night and left it on my floor. Figured I wouldn't let it go to waste and threw it in my bug tank, and... Well...

Idk where she found it, but we live in an old house, so we've always had mouse problems. Sorry about my shaky hands :(

I thought maybe a few isopods would nibble at it, but no... Everyone wants that sweet sweet mouse flesh! Even one of the bombardier beetles wanted in! Wouldn't be surprised if it's just bones by tomorrow morning, or if they eat the bones too... I shudder to think what would happen if they ever breached containment 😬

I'm in the process of redoing the tank right now, I've been picking out inverts, separating leaves/sticks/wood out, and been getting bins I can put the dirt in. Unfortunately my efforts to keep isopods out failed... Again... All it takes is one teenie tiny baby to start the cycle all over again. I've got a strainer scooper thing I'm going to use to pick out most of the larger inverts, then I'll pick the smaller ones out by hand. I'll move most of the large isopods to their own bin, then I will sterilize the dirt before returning it to the garden. Crossing my fingers that THIS TIME will be different... What's the definition of insanity again?

Until then, the army feeds. Feed well my children, feed well!

Seriously, why do they keep leaving doors open? Is it a bug? I thought I was having memory problems as I kept finding the main doors open after swearing I closed them... Finally caught them in the act about a month ago.

Realizing this was a problem, and wanting to do this forever ago anyways, I finally got around to filling everything in with echo blocks/walls. Hot take: why do blocks/walls show their bordered with echo blocks even when the goggles are removed? Shouldn't it disappear completely? I was counting on that dammit! This caused a problem with some of my builds, so I had to get creative with how I bordered the walls I wanted to remain the way they were before echofying it, hence the random actuated echo blocks. I think everything is safe now, but I need to test it further. Getting the echo walls between the leaves was... interesting (read; infuriating)

I've got a lot more builds planned/need to finish, so hopefully now I can do it with my builder loadout without dying to giant turtles every two seconds. I love the builder gear, but that lack of defense in master mode makes it almost impossible to use unless you do something like... this

Large mastermode Crimson world, no special/secret seeds. Been working on this world since 2015! Many of the builds were inspired by other people's builds, I think I have them saved if anyone wants to see the originals

(Also, they really need to add like a nullifying monolith that cancels out the filters on certain backgrounds, like the mushroom biome. Kind of annoying that everything goes midnight dark every time you go near it)
