I'm sorry, but WTF was that?

I'm sorry, but WTF was that?

Like it wasn't an update? It was literally "we're happy about how things are, everybody who disagrees can go fuck themselves" ? If this is the type of "communication" we're getting, I would actually prefer no communication lol

Protoss mage [legend]

Hey guys, decided to share my protoss mage list with which I got legend this (and previous) month. Pretty fun and games are much shorter than with parrot mage, even though this deck also has the ability to stall almost infinitely if there's no secret tech.

Pretty good vs any aggro deck, bad vs boar/questline hunter (questline hunter is the most annoying one, so I even put geist in :D ). Overall, the deck feels strong (if you don't encounter boarlock 24/7), so have fun, fellow mage enjoyers!

So, the point of this post is to check whether I am the only one who is amazed with Blizzard blatantly lying to its customer base for additional profit.

This whole situation really reminds me of the whole battlepass scheme when it just came out, and hopefully more players will take a minute to actually think about it:

My key points are:

  1. We're getting less cards, but paying more. Don't give me this absolutely stupid argument about dust value. You know how free2play players are able to have a lot of dust and have full collection etc.? By NOT dusting cards. You don't want to dust new cards - only stupid people do (the only exception is if you're not playing the class at all), and then 2 months later they craft them again for 4x the dust (because of amazing hearthstone economy). What about the hunter portrait? Ok, why can't I buy class sets for 2000 gold without the portrait and have the ability to buy it for 2500 with the portrait?

  2. The pricing of an individual class set is absolutely horrendous. Somehow all class sets cost 2500 gold (when in reality they should cost 2000 - the same as the minisets in the past, but ok), and yet individual class set costs 1200??? Just a quick math: 2500/4 = 625, where did additional 525 gold came from? It's actually disgusting how overpriced individual class set is.

  3. And something that actually triggers me the most: the quality of the cards. Something that blizzard specifically mentioned, and I quote:

Why We’re Trying Class Sets

This change comes from a few clear goals within the Hearthstone design team:

  • Stronger class moments: Focusing on fewer classes lets us give each a distinct game plan and identity, making them shine more than before.
  • More noticeable meta shifts: Concentrated releases bring clearer day-one changes. You’ll see what’s new and feel how the landscape shifts right away.
  • More impactful updates throughout the year: Different classes will rotate into the spotlight, keeping the meta dynamic without changing everything at once.

Now this is what I call utter BS. Have you guys seen the new cards? I did and I haven't seen even 1 card that seems remotely impactful enough to shift the meta (which mini sets still kinda did btw). The power level of new cards is surprising low and almost all of them come in packages: dude paladin - leyline mage - animal companion hunter (druid is the only exception).

Do you know what's the problem with package cards is? If the package sucks, then all of these are practically unplayable. Now name me at least 1 of those archetypes that looks strong enough to even see play? I'm not even talking about "meta shift". Which of those 3 will see play and actually be impactful: dude paladin - animal companion hunter - leyline mage? I doubt any of them will. Druid legendary is also garbage. So what do we have in the end?

Not only these class sets seem weak, they also seem extremely predatory comparing to a mini sets before them, and I urge everyone that actually cares about the state of the game to stand against it: either by not buying it or creating more posts on social media about how predatory these class sets are. Thank you for your attention
