TIPS for freshmen

Hey y’all,
I am an incoming freshman at the U this fall and I’d like to hear any tips/ good things to know- could be solely for UMN or really those entering college in general. I’m in Carlson. Tell me anything and everything- greek life, academics, professors, where the best party life is?
If you could do anything over, what would you do?
Thank you all a ton

Looking for niche romance trope?

Hi there! I'm new here and hope this isn't too niche, but am looking for books that have a romance (or hinted) between two queer or queer-coded characters where both or one of the characters is very beautiful or incredibly successful/smart/affluent, and the two characters are either best friends or in some sort of competition. I am specifically not looking for insta-love, but a built-up relationship over time, please- looking for the yearning and excellent writing. I'm also good with non-queer leads as long as the two treat each other equally and gender roles don't dominate the storyline.

Some of my favorite books that fit this description for the most part:

Check, Please by Ngozi Ukazu

Her Royal Highness by Rachel Hawkins

The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid

The Captive Prince by C.S. Pacat

I Kissed Shara Wheeler by Casey McQuiston

Heated Rivalry by Rachel Reid and In Between The Teeth Series by Taylor Fitzpatrick

Thank you all lots!!
