ok so i tried my best to be as early as possible, i just graduated with my bs and i applied for unis for winter 2026 as soon as they opened admissions in march, the uniassist + admission process took its time and i got my first admit yesterday. today, i’ve already submitted my documents for the visa waitlist.

but now that i’m keeping track of the current appointments, they seem so far behind. september 2025 applications being processed rn. at this rate i don’t think i can even join for the cohort i got accepted into. this shit is genuinely depressing because basically as a pakistani its pointless to even apply for a cohort according to summer/winter intakes because you are never gonna get into the one u applied for.

i’m so frustrated like i wanna bang my head into the wall because its like no matter how diligent you are, you’ll still be fucked because you’re from pakistan

mostly people from lums/aitchison, owning an old corolla with 1 kanal houses and full time servants acting like they’re somehow “poor”? my sister’s a psych and she had a guy depressed about how “poor” and financially struggling his family was because he did his bs from lums, they only had 2 cars: a corolla and city, a few shops in the city and a 2 kanal house. the average pakistani can barely afford a 5 marla house, an alto/mehran (usually a bike), decent matric/fsc schooling for their kids.

their differences in lifestyle are worlds apart but somehow the rich are the middle class. they’re comfortably in the upper echelon of the pakistani society when most of our population isn’t even urban.
