Halo Wars 360 matchmaking not connecting to boosting friend

I am trying to boost the Running the Show achievement with a friend but the matchmaking won't connect us. We are in different regions but I don't expect that to be an issue. We are both searching in the Deathmatch 1v1 matchmaking but it won't connect to any games, even though we are both looking for a game. Any suggestions?

What are some Alternative formats in Japan?

I know GLC is very popular in the states and Pauper seems to be growing in popularity. However, since the game is designed in Japan, I have been wondering what alternative formats they have?

Halo Reach was not a Blueprint

As we all know, Halo Reach was Bungie's last Halo. Opinions are split on the Halo games that followed, being developed by 343. This isn't supposed to be a shit on 343 post, but more of gathering thoughts on Reach and its effect on the following Halo games.

Halo Reach was a more grounded military shooter compared to Halo 1-3. Due to this, Halo Reach incorporated a lot of modern FPS mechanics such as sprinting, loadouts, and weapon bloom. These mechanics are deemed more realistic and favor quick reactions over managing weapon types and controlling the map. The overall experience of Halo Reach was able to appeal to both traditional Halo fans and fans of other FPS on the market. However, this being the most recent Halo game led to Halo 4 and other games chasing that audience more.

Halo from this point on continued to appeal more to the general FPS market and losing its identity. As the Halo series continued, sprinting was now default for everyone and not an armor ability. Sliding and vaulting allowed for movement to not slow down. Adding boosters so you can maneuver in air, again without taking up an armor ability. Movement and speed was the name of the game. Weapon bloom never left. Halo Infinite kept the ground movements while adding armor abilities again. One of those armor abilities being the Grappling Hook which pushed movement speed further, but with greater drawback.

All these mechanics gave other FPS identities and Halo took them for itself to appeal to their audience. Meanwhile, the fans that like Halo being unique were left behind but expected to always be there for a new Halo. Spartans cannot run and aim guns. Spartans cannot control the recoil of their weapons. Spartans are agile ninjas instead of heavily armored tanks. Halo 1-3 offered the Blueprint for the future of the sci-fi shooter that was Halo. Halo Reach as a military shooter was a commentary on the, at the time, military shooter games. The lack of innovation, stealing mechanics from every other game.

Halo, as a series of games, used to be the gold standard. It used to march to the beat of its own drum. While the rest of the industry was moving down a particular road, Halo 3 innovated in different directions to deliver the feeling of being a human tank. Reach was a downgrade in gameplay because it took place in the past and fit the narrative better. Reach was not the Blueprint for the future of the series. It was a warning of what it could become, and the new Halo games continued down the path, mistaking the warning as guidance.

Maybe I should be a Halo YouTube Grifter with hot takes like this...

Why do you think the Bathroom Bill is a good thing?

For those of you that don't know, a recent bill was passed in the state of Idaho that banned Trans Women from Women's restrooms and Trans Men from Mens restrooms. Which means a Trans Woman who may look feminine will be forced to use the Men's restroom. A Trans Man who may look more masculine will be forced to use the Women's restroom. Even if that person has had bottom surgery.

Can someone who is in support of this bill explain why?
