There have been failures noted relative to exhaust manifold studs on i6 engines in LR Forums. Common symptoms are rattling at start up and broken studs caught in skid plates below engine compartment. Since I intend to keep my Defender for the foreseeable future elected to proactively replace them. Happy I did as 4 were loose and thus likely to fail (2022 110 w/ 31k miles). If they break, as others have had happen, it is a very challenging process to remove the sheared off studs from the block. Replacements installed are made of titanium and sold by Saltek Motorsports. Filed a NHTSA report in the hopes issue will be more closely reviewed by JLR to better determine scope/potential recall.

Found an inexpensive solution for disabling Auto Start Stop on my 2022 110. For some reason I have been unable to deactivate it electronically via Gap Tool / OEM Activations. This little wedge has done the trick! Unsure if the constant depression of the button will cause any longer term issue but nothing has arisen in multiple ignition cycles. Purchased from FlashAudio on Etsy.

Added Plumb Antenna / Flagpole mount. Went with Triple R Utility 50 Chase lamp so needed to have the base drill/taped to handle the lager size/weight. This is a fairly high tech light with amber/white/red, strobe and DOT approved brake lamp/fog. Purchased an extension bracket to allow room for Midland NMO antenna bases for both MXTA25 and MXTA26. Also wired for LED Whip lamp and have a traditional 3M flagpole on order. Im pleased with the product quality and result!

Installed front skid plate today from Alibaba that was $153 shipped to USA including all fees and taxes. Amazing deal IMO as quality appears high and everything lined up perfectly. Followed PowerfulUK's instructional videos for OEM style skid plate (not easy fit type) that show how it can be done without removing the front bumper. It is a bit challenging to remove the clips for the brake ducts and coolant lines with this method. Also installing the new bracket back in over the tow loop required two people. Took me four hours all in - shout out to Simon for his great video assitance/knowledge. Painted the recovery hook with Rust-Oleum Forged Hammered Antique Pewter which ties in well with my satin gray Defender.

Received the Pivi Pro update today for version 4.5.0. It downloaded flawlessly, the first time around, which I can't say occurred on the majority of prior updates. Hopefully this helps on all future updates/downloads!

I could have picked an earlier spot as you see them identified on the right side of the Pivi screen. Drove further forward to give the video some perspective. Mine was completed by OEM Activations but took a number of Pivi resets to work. Believe the key is to have vehicle equipped with all 6 sensors in front and rear. Also possibly the mirrors and I do have clear sight rear view. Ironically, other than Dynamic Mode what I really wanted to work was Auto Start Stop Deactivation and Ive yet to be able to use that...Once I obtain a GAP tool will continue to play with the settings.
