Even with how messed up the world is, I still am thankful for being born in an era like this. We have come really far. I know future future generations of humans will probably see us as dumb, archaic and barbaric, but I'm personally just so glad we live in an era where there's phones, maps, machines, space research, somewhat advanced medical practices where we atleast know not to drill holes into people's skulls to "release demons", and best of all, there's toilet paper.
