I made a snorlax and ditto as my first sewing project!

I mostly crochet but I wanted to challenge myself to learn how to sew plushies because I absolutely love them. These are my first finished projects after lots of trial and error. (it was my first time using a sewing machine and using fur fabric!!)

I learned so so much and there is so much I will probably doing differently next time but I'm pretty happy with the result. I did expect much more out of myself though because I crochet, but crochet and sewing with fabric is really different. I had so much fun sewing these little guys!

I'd love to hear more tips from more experienced plush makers, and I'd love to know which one is your favorite! ♡

I also documented it on youtube, so I could look back on my progress so that was really fun!

Finally Finished my Pokemon plushies!!

I spent the last 2 weeks crocheting these cute plushies, they came out so soft and i'm very proud of myself because the fluffy yarn was soooo hard to use. I had to do a lot of color changes on the mosslax and it was kind of my first project with so many color changes ahaha

I used a yarn called soft poodle it's very similar to alize baby softy but a much thicker version

Finished my fluffy Mosslax and Sentret plushies!!

I've been working on these for the last couple of weeks and finally finished them!

The giant Mosslax is crocheted with fluffy yarn as well as the Sentret. The Mosslax ended up much larger then what I expected haha. I want to play Pokopia so bad but have not bought the switch 2 yet, so at least I can have Mosslax in real life.

also the Mosslax pattern is by Pumpicrochet and the Sentret pattern is by loopycathrine, in case you want to make your own :)

What Sewing Machines do you like for plushie making?

I usually make plushies by hand only with crochet but I am looking into buying a sewing machine for plushie making with fabric. Currently I am looking at the computerized Brother Smart Electronic Quilting Machine (FS60X). I am kind of stuck on what to buy since this is my very first sewing machine, I havn't even used one before.

So I guess my question is 1. What Machine do you use for plushie making and do you like it?

2. Which do you prefer, mechanical or computerized machines?

Thanks so much! ♡

I crocheted a 100cm+ jellycat-inspired dragon

I used faux fur yarn to crochet this dragon and it took a whole week haha. It was extremly hard to see my stiches but I could not give up using this yarn it came out extremly soft and floppy. I used beads to fill parts of some of the dragon so it's also a bit weighted and weighs about 2.2kg. I had so much fun crocheting this!

I posted this over in r/plushies and a lot of comments mentioned I should post this here I'm very new to reddit so still learning where to post things haha

my 100cm+ Jellycat-inspired crochet dragon

I spent a whole week crocheting this giant jellycat-inspired dragon, he came out to be over 100cm long! I am so happy with how soft and floppy it came out. I filmed a crochet diary over on my youtube channel. It's linked in my reddit if you are interested in watching. ♡

I'm new to posting on Reddit and wasn't sure where this fit, I love making plushies and wanted to share it!
