PVA Glue a bit sticky on the Mull even after 2 and a half days

PVA Glue a bit sticky on the Mull even after 2 and a half days

So I glued my text block and mull (100% cotton fabric) and put it in my press, then left for a trip, came back 2 and half days later and the text block seems solid and the mull is good and on there, but it’s still a bit sticky/tacky, and I am curious what I can do to solve this or what? New to bookbinding so any help is appreciated!

Bit of a long shot but what kind of paper do y’all think this cover is made from?

As stated in the title I am trying to figure out what sort of paper this is so I can use something similar for a personal project. It feels like cloth but I contacted the manufacturer and they said it was paper (they wouldn’t tell me any more about it though unfortunately).

Where to get Efalin paper in the US

I am rebinding an old copy of Arabian Nights and I think I want to use Efalin paper for the cover but am unsure what good places to get it in the USA are? When looking online it looks like a lot of places that would be international or ordered in bulk which isn’t ideal since I need less than a square foot of the stuff.

Is fabric backed book binding tape a substitute for mull?

So I am very new to all of this and just discovered mull, and I am wondering if the fabric backed book binding tape I already bought will work in place of mull or if I also need to go get mull now?

For some added context, I am trying to find some RPG (role playing game) books similar to the books pictured.

After yesterday, I have something like 200 RPG systems and supplements

So between various other bundles and Free RPG day, I know have books or PDFs for over 200 unique RPG product, 90% of which I have not played or even heard of. So my question is, out of all the stuff from yesterday’s free offerings, what is the most worth trying out?

A few I recognized were Root, a Pirate Borg starter set, I got the itch.io bundle, the most of the physical offerings, and the RPG Trader bundle as well, so loads of indie games too.

Edit 1 to add context for me and my play group:

I have mostly played fantasy games (with a bit of sci fi with Star Wars 5e), I like games that have at least some connecting story components, even if it’s somewhat loose. As for story types, I would love to dip into more intrigue/mystery at some point, maybe horror as well?

I am probably going to run most of these games as one-shots first and foremost. I would be playing most of these with people I already know, maybe a couple of friends of friends.

Normally I can count on getting 4-5 friends to play via Discord and Owlbear Rodeo.

How would each plane react to a lich’s artifact?

So I am planning on running a campaign centered in Sigil where the party has to go to each of the outer planes to destroy artifacts that a powerful lich has placed in each realm (similar to some of the stuff Vecna sets up in those older adventures).

What I am wondering is how the inhabitants of the different planes would react to these powerful evil artifacts? For example, I assume many inhabitants of the good aligned planes would have tried to destroy them, or perhaps the artifacts are even more hidden in those realms. I am still pretty new to Planescape and the larger cosmology so curious what the hivemind thinks.

What are some adventure/campaign system kitbashes you’ve done?

what I mean by this is for example I am currently running a Spelljammer campaign (originally made for DnD) using Daggerheart and am planning on running Planescape (also originally made for DnD) using Draw Steel.

Curious if others here have done similar and what are some y’all have done?

Follow up to book binding post (question)

So from the videos and images I am seeing it looks like all of these original booklets for Planescape were staple bound booklets. give that some of them appear to be over 100 pages, this somewhat surprised me. can someone with some of the original copies confirm whether this is accurate? It is hard to tell in the pictures and videos I can find and if it’s possible to bind my own without sowing… that would be pretty cool.

New to Planescape and printing/binding my own books

So, I am currently running a Spelljammer campaign that may eventually tie into a Planescape campaign. I have been reading up on stuff and seeing that the 2e stuff is a lot better than the 5e material (in most people’s opinion at least).

I know that DriveThruRPG has print on demand services for basically all the Planescape books, but I have decided to go the manic route of printing and binding my own books so that I can customize them to my liking.

My question/reason for posting is, what are some things you all would recommend adding to the standard books? What I mean is like if a book is talking about a part of the city and you use a random table from somewhere else for that area, that is something I could just add to the book itself by editing the PDF before printing.

If there’s good new material from the 5e books, I could add that to the 2e books instead of having to get/make both.

Idk if this rambling makes any sense, but I am willing to explain further if needed.

Best way to make a helmet/thing like this image?

I am wanting to construct a helmet similar to the one in the Pinterest art shown. I have a 3D printer and a good amount of experience with that as well as a bit of experience with foam, but I’m not sure the best way to do something like that to make the shape, make sure it’s strong/not too fragile, and make sure it doesn’t way a ton on my head.

Best way to get Paperback Son of Dathomir?

I am still pretty new to comics and was wanting to read the Son of Dathomir comics but I am seeing prices anywhere from $20-200, so I'm wondering what's the best way to just get the whole series in my hands (physically) to read?
