The ear canal of my right ear has a very sharp first bend after about 1 cm, I think that's the reason many in ear ear plugs hurt a lot for me. I also think my ear canals are rather slim. I still want to try in ear ear plugs, which brands can you recommend in my case? The most important thing is that they don't hurt. I use them for sleeping. Thank you :)
My problem is that when I wake up at night after already having slept for 1 - 2,5 hrs (to pee) I'm then unable to fall back asleep. It's like my brain is completely awake/alert. It takes me 4 - 5 hours to fall asleep again. The weird thing is I don't have this problem when I wake up (and pee) after more then 3 hours of sleep. Does anyone here experience something similar? What could be the reason? I already don't turn on the lights when going to the bathroom but it doesn't make a difference. Even the sleep meds I've tried don't really help because the hyperarousal of my brain is so strong. Other things I've tried but didn't help is relaxation exercises, distracting my brain, getting out of bed. The weird thing is I'm not even thinking about anything or having a lot of thoughts. What else could I try?
