Day 8 without PMO

To keep myself on the path of overcoming this addiction I want to share some of my experiences of today;
- I feel more clean and authentic
- I feel less shame when being around other people
- I have energy to clean the house type tasks but also to practice piano
I feel the drive to take care of things I need to do and to take care of myself as well

I feel more sexual and general energy and I try to use this energy for things like piano playing or going out for some real contact with other people.

Very tired after 30 no caf

Hi people! At this moment I am 33 days completely off caffeine and I feel very very tired. During the first weeks I was tired also, then I had stable but also more energy. Now, around 30 days I’m just very tired. I will go to bed earlier to rest as much as possible and see how long this phase will be..

What’s your experience with tiredness when quitting caffeine?

Chocolate is everywhere + some benefits I experience thanks to quitting coffee

Since I’m off caffeine I realise that A LOT of products like cookies or protein bars contain chocolate. This shows me how integrated caffeine is in our society and that children are taking caffeine as well. If you want to cut out caffeine you really have to be mindful of the things you eat and drink, so much is clear to me lol.

Some of the benefits I notice after being off caffeine for 30 days:

  1. Able to focus on one task at a time at work. Before I started a task, and when a new thing would pop up I would do that thing but also be thinking about the previous task. After a while I would have 5-6 tasks simultaneously running in my head without the focus to complete a task properly. Now I am better able to just complete one task at a time with higher quality of output also.

  2. More stable energy throughout the day and able to be active for much later in the evening before feeling tired and going to sleep. I also a waking up more refreshed and without the feeling that I am half a human until I have had my coffee

  3. More objective and authentic. I am better able to look at a situation without too much emotion or artificial hype/ excitement. At the same time I feel more connected to myself with feels great.

As a person, I am very sensitive to addictions and looking back I realise that coffee had a similar place/ role in my life than other drugs had in the past. I did not see that before and I think that is because of the fact that coffee/ caffeine is so extremely widely used and so “Normal”.

Accidentally drank ice tea

I’m around one month off caffeine and today I drank an ice tea without realising that ice tea contains caffeine. I am happy with my state of being while off caffeine. Now I’m curious what this (small) amount of caffeine will do in terms of restarting withdrawal and/or my inner experience. At the moment I don’t feel that much different but I noticed that I would like another ice tea LOL. Down the drain with that extra bottle of ice tea! Let’s see what will happen…what do you think?

Al zeg ik het zelf vind ik dit goed bedacht 😁. Waar een onderzetter al niet handig voor is…
