[Serious-ish] Updated rules: "User is American" now an official report reason.

Hello posters.

I've redone the rules, consolidated some of them and added a new one.

For a long time it's been an unofficial rule that if you admit you're American, you get banned.

It's now official. Make use of this report reason if you see someone admitting they're American.

Be sure to check out the updated rules if you intend to post or comment.

Thanks!

#edit: Canadians are allowed but you're on thin ice.

When this image popped into my head it made perfect sense but by the time I'd finished making it I had no idea what I meant. Something about revolutionary optimism I think.

Tommy turnout vs Nakba turnout

Nakba pictures taken by me. Tommy pictures were sent to me.

Obviously the camera is always biased, but so am I.

Last pic is taken in the tunnel after we got off the tube, trying to get to the start of the march.

Sped Dimandbland

Hi guys, just a quick one.

#TLDR: don't use the word F*gs to describe cigarettes, it's not me saying this it's reddit's AI moderator bullshit.

Unfortunately I've discovered that reddit will often (not sure how often) remove your comment automatically if you include the word F*gs (rhymes with mags), whether you're using it as a slur, or to describe cigarettes.

I have contacted the mods about this specifically, and have been given no way of dealing with this issue.

Because this is being done automatically by reddit, I have no idea if repeatedly using this word can get your account banned or not. They're obviously detecting it a slur, so it's possible. Regardless, it removes your comment, so you probably don't want to anyway.

Previously, our system for dealing with this is that if your comment included that word, it'd be held for review and if you were talking about cigarettes, I'd just approve it. This was a good system that worked perfectly for a long time. But reddit said no, unfortunately. :(
