Working Toward Healthy Nails

I have been a life long nail biter and skin picker. I got builder gel manicures for a year to help myself quit picking. I stopped getting the manicures due to cost and picked the habit back up again.

Although, I’ve (mostly) stopped picking and am working toward stopping completely. My nails are still so weak, don’t grow very long, and rip and break. This is about as long as they can get before breaking.

I also think they always look kind of dirty? They don’t look bright white and clean. I got my lab work done a few months ago and no vitamin deficiencies, so I’m not sure how to improve. Am I just someone who isn’t meant to have long nails?

Outpatient Frustration with RNs

Just a venting post: I’m outpatient and the only SW for multiple clinics within the department. I just found out that the nurses make more $ than me, despite me having more education, but whatever… I can kind of look past that.

But then I found out that each nurse will get one WFH day/week. So I asked if I could have a WFH day because some times, days go by without anyone needing me in-person. I was told I could WFH if I’m too sick to come in, but other than that, I need to be in-person.

Just sucks to hear that I am soOOoOoo needed but they can’t compensate me at the same level with money or benefits :(

What does your social circle look like? Who is a part of it?

Who is in your social circle? Who do you talk to on a regular basis? How do you know them?

My social circle has really changed over time. I used to be in almost constant contact with my friends, but now I only talk with them maybe once a week or so.

Certified Financial SW vs Certified Financial Therapist

Looking for advice on pursuing certified financial social worker or certified financial therapist. I work full-time in medical social work but see therapy clients part time.

I understand CFSW to be more geared to general financial literacy while CFT is more about the individuals relationship with money and clinical interventions.

Does anyone have any suggestions? General guidance or experiences?

Thanks in advance!
