Power outage during sentinel surface test. How should I proceed?
EDIT: SORRY !!! The test was successful. Windows powerplan kicked in and put the PC to sleep. SORRY!!
Hello. Yesterday I started testing some Toshiba N300 6TB with HD Sentinel surface test (write +read) and the test was doing great for about 12hrs… I went to bed and when I woke up i found the computer turned off.
I'm not 100% sure it was a power outage but it's my best guess. My brother said there wasn't any, but the internet was down and since i'm connected to a secondary phase I can't be certain… but that internet outage could be a strong indicator if I share the same electrical phase with the derivator box.
I've also read that a bad sector could have been the culprit, making the computer to crash.
So far I haven't turned on the computer again. How can I check if the disks weren't damaged by the outage? Does sentinel saves a log of any current test? Where can I check it? How should I proceed?
Thanks.
