Haku Coming to Canada!

For those who missed it elsewhere, Haku is coming to Canada as part of an amazing 4 band show called Next Music From Tokyo Vol 18. I saw them last year in Vancouver and honestly, it was a life altering experience. It was such an amazing show and the astounding thing was: they weren’t even the most impressive band there. Don’t get me wrong, they are great live and they put on a wonderful show and they are everything you could expect, but in terms of getting an audience into a frenzy, a couple of the other bands topped them. So grab your friends and some tickets and head to Vancouver, Toronto, or Montreal. I’ve attached the promoter’s message from another Reddit forum below.

Before ハク。go on a nation-wide Japan tour to promote the new album they're first coming to Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver Sept 18-24, 2026. Half of the songs on the album are previously released but Canadians will get to see some of the unreleased songs performed live before even the Japanese do.

Also, when you buy merch at their shows in Japan you deal with Toy's Factory staff and have almost zero chance of meeting the band members in person. In Canada, their manager will be doing most of the merch sales BUT Ai, Kano, Mayu and Nazuna will 100% be around at times to sign stuff and take photos. (Still a far cry from the indie days when they would man the tables themselves and you could chat with them whenever you wanted).

Finally, the shows in Canada will be way more lively and boisterous compared to Japan. Although, a lot more foreigners have been going to Haku's shows back home and there's more cheering/shouting than before, it's still no comparison to how fun and energetic the Canadian shows get eg crowd surfing, moshing.

Of course, there are three other bands so Haku's set will be a lot shorter than if you went to a two- or one-man show in Japan. But you do get to see three other bands that are just as amazing (last year a lot of people who came primarily for Haku became even bigger fans of Tattletale or Banshimoku). This time (NMFT vol 18) the three bands who will try to steal the spotlight are yureruwayurei , SYAYOS and pudelhunds.

So if you live in Canada or nearby in the US (people in S. America, Japan and Europe have flown in in the past) then catch Haku on tour in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver this September.
