Looking for recommendations!

Coming to FW next week for a five day trip! Where’s the good food and fun cocktail bars for the oldsters? Are there cool book shops, awesome thrifting or cool vintage places to check out? The die for breakfast spot or best pizza in town? I’m open to all suggestions!

Tumblers

I am finally in the market to upgrade from my cheapo two barrel 3 lb rock tumbler that I got on Amazon a decade ago for practically nothing into something that allows for larger quantity, more precision, etc. What are peoples favorites for hobbyist who want to take it to the next level? I am hoping to get into something that runs a little quieter, maybe has digital display and visual for how long your cycle has been going that sort of thing. Thanks in advance!

Gardening Etiquette

So I have a legit question about an ongoing issue we are having with an otherwise lovely guy who avidly gardens in the yard abutting our back yard. As I say he is super nice and is always out there doing all his gardening stuff. He’s almost strictly a food grower and we overhear him all the time chatting with guest about his garden and what he is doing each year. He has a kitty pool thing set up where he grows fish or something for fertilizer I think. I’m not entirely sure. The issue we’re having is that he’s doing something back there that smells like literal death. This is I think the third year in a row this has been going on and I don’t know if it’s the fish thing, some kind of insect trap or what but when we are sitting outside or working in our own raised bed we are continually caught off guard by this foul odor. We are not people who complain about much. We’ve lived in the same house for 27 years and have had neighbors far worse than this guy but the smell…..like I said it is rotting meat, dead smell. Or like that smell your dog gets when it rolls in dead on the beach and you have to clean it out of its fur. It’s the worst case of BV that you’ve ever smelled times 10000. So my question is, is there a way to politely chat with him about this? Express curiosity perhaps about what it is he’s doing and then ask if there’s anything we can do to support his gardening efforts sans whatever the hell that is. I’m pretty sure we don’t have a leg to stand on from any zoning perspective and again this is year three so it’s not like I’m looking to go all crazy on the neighbor over this odor but I would like to be able to be in my yard without smelling that. Anyone have any insights into what it might be and/or polite ways to ask if he can move it away from the fence line? Assuming that’s where he has whatever it is.
