Upside Down Rabbit in BTME pg 114

Upside Down Rabbit in BTME pg 114

Anyone else notice if you flip the book upside down on page 114 there appears to be a shadow of a rabbit standing next to something? I am interested if anyone has an idea what that is the rabbit is standing next to? This looks like it was added to that photograph and not part of the photo.

What Are the Odds of this:

I'd love to hear opinions on what the odds are on something without giving away too much as to reveal my coordinates. If you use onX maps back country, apparently, if you look up a specific coordinate which has been logged as a point of interest, you will get a blue letter "i" for information. I'm not sure exactly who created these or how they are logged, but until recently, I'd not come across one before.

Now obviously, if you are seeking to look up a well known geographic location, say a mountain top, you might come by these. However, would you be thinking there might be something more to it as it relates to the treasure hunt if:

You had what you thought was a simple straightforward idea for a way to nail down an exact coordinate from the poem. You did the math, and the very first test you did of that coordinate, you landed on one of these logged exact coordinates?

The other maps I use like Google maps and Google earth don't show anything special for the coordinates. Indeed, where the coordinates landed are not a spot you would expect to see any kind of informational data. It does display the name of the place if I click the blue i, but not much more. Just seems odd to me because I have looked up maybe 40 - 50 other coordinates on this app (while going down a completely separate unrelated rabbit hole) and I never saw one of these blue i's before. And it's not something that is being displayed if you just happened on that area on the map and skimming around. It only shows up if you type in the exact coordinates.

Also, you know those symbols on the book cover that look like an O on top of a T? Well it happens that when you search a coordinate which has a blue i attached to it, the cross hair on the app aligns in such a way that it looks like the O on top of the T.

What do you guys think, just coincidence, or a sign there could be something to the location?

Alaska Not Logical

Let me preface this post with saying, if you're solve is in Alaska, this isn't meant to be a jab at anyone.

It doesn't seem logical in my opinion that Justin even included Alaska on his map. Based on comments he's made about making this hunt not be just for wealthy people who can afford endless travel and on safety being a priority, I find it suspect. By suspect I mean, it is not logical unless there is some other reason to have that map there. It also is quite annoying imo. Seems like it should either be an Alaska treasure hunt, or a mainland one. For those with limited resources, just having Alaska on there makes the entire hunt a much bigger financial risk.

I am making it my mini side mission to discover what the real reason for including Alaska on the map is. I have what I think is an excellent solve, but we checked and the treasure wasn't where I thought would be. I'm convinced that I'm close and am missing one or two pieces to the puzzle which caused my bearing from the starting point to be off. Or my bearing was right, but my calculations for the coordinates of the starting point was off.

As I am fairly new to this hunt, any past info that people have shared along these same lines would be welcome and appreciated.

Beyond the Map's Edge

I am certain this has been extensively discussed, but I'm new to this hunt. I take this title to mean, you're not in Kansas anymore, so to speak. I think in the olden days, or shall I say, the time of legends, sailors had a term for uncharted areas that had not yet been mapped. They would label those areas "here there be monsters", essentially. Maybe they'd say they thought that sea area had mermaids or krakens.

Bottom line, to me, it means we should really be expecting the correct solve to involve something that is way out there (as in round the bend), and possibly involving myths or legends to some extent.

Unscramble "In ursa east his realm"

Maybe just a coincidence but if you unscramble the letters for "in ursa East his realm" you get:

"measure isarithms".

Isarithms is a measurement in cartography.

Double Arcs (to the story?)

Not sure if this has been previously discussed. Has anyone else thought about the possibility that the "double arcs" of the poem is something more abstract than what most seem to be on the lookout for (markings on a rock let's say).

Seems to me the poem is not only instructions on how to find the treasure, but has a narrative of a story being told from the perspective of someone or something. Started thinking maybe this narrative has a double arc. As in the arc of a story. Like maybe once we understand the arc of it from one perspective, in order to fully unlock the solve, we need to understand the story's second (double) arc.

Just thinking out loud here.

The Runaway Wheel?

Not a great picture from today, but this is too funny. My spot brought us to this round thing, and it had a giant tire that made it! Huge tire. Maybe it's Grandpa Fitzwater's runaway wheel! LOL! Got one more day to look around.

Set Sail In the AM

Here we gooooooo!! Setting sail in the morning to go HOTE (Humans On The Earth). Estimated casting off of our anchor (arrival) depending on this week's weather. Why not boots on ground you ask? For one, I never liked that phrase. For another, fairies wear boots (and they don't necessarily need touch the ground,). So yeah, I'll be flitting, floating, and fluttering around in my wheelchair while me mate/me crew do their best to makes my dreams/wishes come true!

Imagine the Blue Fairy meets Black Sabbath. Speaking of the blue fairy, as a movie person I would like to recommend people watch Steven Spielberg's "AI: Artificial Intelligence". It's one of his best imho. It's one of those movies that makes you think about what it actually means to be human, consciousness, and our responsibility to anything we, as a species, create.

Do you guys think Posey's treasure will be buried or no?

Wondering what your opinions are on whether Justin Posey buried his treasure or not? The section of his book that lists items to bring doesn't mention a shovel, although maybe he wouldn't put that it. Seems like I remember him punting on this question at one of his interviews.

Thoughts appreciated.

Justin Posey BTME Treasure Trinkets

Curious of what other treasure seekers ideas are about Justin Posey's comments at one of the Q&A's where he said there could be "trinkets along the way'. My idea is that the trinkets are something we create that helps us find the spot.
