I wnat to get a windshield , but the store told me dose your forks exposed or covered, I want to be sure, or should I remove this chrome cover for good ?

I've dealt with bigger bikes in tire replacement , but never 8 inch, it's a nightmare, any advices ? . It was delivered to me in this shap
