I recently got a Canon demi color that's been sitting in a garage for the last 20 years at least from my grandpa. I just got my scan back, and it seems that only the last 14 pics are alright while the rest is completely black.

I've seen online that the shutter might have been stuck for the first few pics and unstucked itself after a while, should I wait to get my negative back or order a cheap film to try again and see if it's fixed?
