Magical clones and the second death.

Matthew 10:28 And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell.

If an adult clone could be created by magic to replace a person who was violently killed, so that the individual concerned can be resurrected ad infinitum, could the repeat cycle be null and void by using magic to inflict the second death?

Could individual cloning be brought to an end by the final destruction of the soul by using magic?

Magical clones can be defeated.

Sith alchemy has the ability to create an adult clone to replace a severely maimed person, or to replace a murder victim.

Theoretically speaking, cloning is still a highly effective (not perfect) countermeasure to counteract any military strike on a tactical front, but it cannot counteract a strategic-scale military strike because there is no way to clone the millions killed by a full-scale nuclear attack due to the paucity of skilled operators who are able to create an adult clone.

However, cloning on a tactical level can still be defeated by:-

  1. The conquering nation could easily apprehend the few sorcerers among the conquered people because they alone have the necessary knowledge, skills, and experience to clone a murdered/maimed individual.
  2. Destroying the national register of births and deaths to prevent large-scale cloning.
  3. Destroying all the new tombstones in order to destroy any knowledge of the recently deceased, so as to prevent tactical cloning.
  4. The government's ability to resist tactical killing/wounding could never produce any resilient, defiant, and level headed clones because the clones can still be killed/maimed sufficiently frequent to make them wary of the attacker/killer, presupposing that every clone was created with memories identical to the original person. Under such circumstances, every clone is increasingly timid, and likely to be suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder. Not such a great weapon at all because cloning has some inexorable innate limitations.

Please comment on #1 to #4 with your own counterargument.
