Do you ever think about the fact that she literally does not need to do anything?

An accomplished artist like Polly could have retired in the 90s and enjoyed her millions, but she is o it there reinventing herself with new personalities, worlds, instruments and vocal register with each album. Even fashion. We are lucky she is still doing this and keep raising the bar. A bit more appreciation would be nice (I keep seeing criticism of her for “not going back to rock”??? She still does rock and about 10 genres. Thanks for coming to my TED talk, fam. ❤️

What are some genre-defining, no-skip album?

Indeed, there are so many artists with decent discography and great masterpiece albums out there, but only few comes to mind when asked the word “no-skip.” I asked my friends about this and so far, I’ve heard OKC and Purple Rain, but I lowk don’t vibe with either since I am not a great fan of Fitter Happier and Darling Nikki respectively. I am looking for the kind of album whose “every” track is flawless. The only one I could name on top of my head would be Lift Your Skinny Fingers Like Antennas to Heaven by GY!BE, which I think is still a lil cheating given how there are only four tracks. But what do you guys think? Maybe Wish you were here as well?

Do you think she will release a huge box set of audio/video recordings of her old shows when she retires?

“The full collection” type of thing of b-sides and rarities & demos like PJ Harvey did a few years ago?

Any kind EWF who can help me change tattoo bandage before and after the Bremen show?

I will be coming to Bremen specifically to see Tori and I just got 2 new tattoos on my arms that will need to be washed and covered before and after the concert (I have all the necessary “equipment” lol). I am coming alone so it would be super helpful if somebody could literally hold my bag as I refresh my tattoo before and after the show. Thank you very much in advance! 🐉

This has to be the best live version of The Beekeeper

I don’t think any other version can tap this live performance.

Patiently waiting for Pyrite to become a regular opener

It would be perfect for the band to start jamming and background vocalists warming up the stage before T enters

Do you realize how lucky we are?

That we can debate if ITOD is our top 1, 3, 5, 10, freaking 18? We are lucky to have an artist who’s produced such diverse music that so many of us respond to it differently. This is exceptional and not many artists’ fans could say the same.

Update/edit: Aww, thanks for the award, you guys (my first, I think). That’s very kind 😍

How could this be an improv, essentially? What we are hearing is the first and only recording. Are both synth and vocals recorded simultaneously? Can somebody with a better understanding of sound engineering explain how something like this can be achieved in a single continuous take? Thank you!

I ordered my vinyl a long time ago, when they had not announced the color options yet (I believe) and this arrived. Looks so sleek. Anybody else?

I’ve noticed a shift in Tori’s career (as well as in PJ Harvey’s and Björks’s) - at some point (probably most conceptually after NoH) it’s first about the world-building/soundscapes/extending to other media, etc.

Why does this happen? This is not a complaint - I find this quite fascinating.

My opinion on this might change, but I am hearing a lot from these 4 recordings. I am really enjoying the new album so far.
