can't "clear away" mess at the tent

i'm at the research site at wapiti station and i'm stuck. i've played the game before and i'm pretty sure there's a transceiver buried under all the loose sheets on the desk but the option to "clear away" the mess is greyed out. i can't progress the game.

i'm on PS4, i've reloaded the save file, restarted the game, restarted the console, to no avail.

draws in casual EDH

so i just got home from the LGS playing a few games and the last game had a strange ending. i was on [[eirdu]], flipped, so my creatures had persist, and i had a [[dockworker drone]] in play. i was still missing a sac outlet and a life drainer to be able to win, so i passed the turn hoping to survive and draw into something useful. then the next player cast [[elesh norn, grand cenobite]].

immediately i realized that my dockworker drone would die and trigger persist, return both with a -1 and a +1 counter on it, meaning with no counters on it, and thus have its stats at -1/-1. it would then immediately die again to state based actions, which would trigger persist again, and return it with two counters that cancel each other out, die to SBA, trigger persist again, etc etc ad infinitum. with no way to stop this loop and no progress being made, we argued about what should happen now. i maintained that the game should end in a draw, but the rest of the table didn't feel like that was a satisfying conclusion to the game. and to be fair, i did have a way to stop the loop: i had enough mana to sacrifice my own commander to [[chittering witch]], thus removing the persist ability from my dockworker drone.

i offered to sac my commander and then scoop as i was running late anyway, but i'm curious to know what you would have done in a similar spot. do you accept an early draw from an unintended interaction or would you rather run it back even if it meant making obviously suboptimal plays and digging yourself into a hole?

i won with a single permanent on the board

i played a crazy game the other night. it was my self mill/lab man deck against [[toxrill]], [[rocco, street chef]] and [[hearthhull]]. toxrill player ramped hard and locked us all out of having creatures for a while, a lot of removal was played.

turn 9 or so, rocco returns, gives me a [[shifting woodland]]. toxrill is killed, and it's my turn. i'm playing the shifting woodland, with half my deck milled at this point. i've got a [[riverchurn monument]] in my graveyard that i turn the shifting woodland into, tap it to mill the rest of my deck with 4 untapped lands remaining and two blockers. none of the other players have much juice left at this point, rocco player attacks me with what's left of their creatures and i block, being left with zero nonland permanents on the board.

it's my turn again, during my upkeep, i activate shifting woodland to turn it into a [[lab man]]. holding priority, i activate the woodland's ability again to turn it into [[sylvan safekeeper]]. i sac all my lands to the safekeeper to give it shroud about 12 times or so, before it turns into the lab man and i'm left with my whole deck in the yard, no permanents other than the lab man and drawing from an empty library. best win i've ever achieved for sure. what's your best win?
