Elysium mosswood mission is such a pain

I got to the final part of the mission where I had to destroy the defenses and drones, and I died, and so did my tamed raptor. My base is right next to eden. So I go to orbital platform, get a other gun, ammo. Go to my base make myself a lantern. Get the minimum supplies I need. Get my other tame, my moa. Make it half way through mosswood and get killed agaib by a drone. It is so frustrating that when you die in this game, it takes forever to get back to the same place so I can continue the mission. I wish the devs made it so we can respawn with our supplies close to where we died. Cause now I have to tame another raptor or moa and gear up again and try again.

Incendiery ammo

Be careful when using incendiery ammo around your base. The other day I crafted some and decided to try it out and shot a buffalo that was next to my base and the fern caught on fire and almost burned hundreds of my wildberry bushes that I grow to extract tainted dna. It took me a long time to put the fire out. I had to run into the base and refill my 2 fire extinguishers multiple times.

Net worth and credits

What is your current net worth and credits available?

I have been playing this game for about 500 hours now, and I believe i have been doing all right so far. I own 17 ships, 2 of which are a sidewinder and the lynx highliner, which I got for free, but the other 15 i purchased and outfitted. My current net worth is 8.5 billion, and i have 3.2 billion credits available. I made most of my credits doing exobiology and cargo hauling using my plipper.

I wonder if there are any trillionaires in this game and what do you do once tou have like 20 or more billion credits. There is nothing really to buy other than ships, carriers and system colonization.

Corvette shields

I finaly got my corvette shields to around 6000 but my shield thermal resistance was -20% so I went back to engineer and reengineered to sheild boosters, 1 from heavy duty to resistance augmented and the other booster from heavy duty to thermal. Now my shield thermal resistance is around 40% but my shield strenght is around 4400. In combat I'm not really noticing any difference. So what is actually more important? Raw shield health or more thermal resistance? How do you guys have your shield boosters set up?

Also I have a hull and module reinforcement and I'm thinking of replacing those 2 slots with guardian shield resistance modules for extra shield health since in combat my shields don't go below 84% and even that only happens when I fight multiple ships at once. I just feel like the hull and module reinforcement is pointless if I have strong shields. What do you guys think?

System colonization

I decided to try colonizing a new system and I knew that I would have to deliver a bunch of materials within 1 month in order to get a starport built but I have to make around 300 trips using my plipper. This is crazy and very tedious. I'm curious , were most colonized systems built this way? By players? Or did the game developers build most of the systems?

1 billion credits for corvette

I just purchased my 17th ship, the federal corvette. I thought the clipper was expensive, but the clipper has nothing on the corvette. It cost me a billion credits with outfitting. Plus, the 100 million I spent in donations while rank grinding to get rear admiral. I hope this ship is worth it. For those of you that have the corvette, what weapons do you use? I got 1 class 4 beam laser and 6 multicannons. I also got 4 hull reinforcement, 1 module, 2 shield cell banks. Now my jump range is 33ly. Now i just have to engineer everything and take it to battle.

Colonia suit engineering

I am trying to unlock some engineers in colonia and need to find 10 culinary recipes and 10 digital designs. So far, i couldn't find any missions offering them. I went out to a tourist settlement and scanned data ports, and after going there 3 times, I only got 2 culinary recipes and each time I left there with bounty and notoriety. Any tips on where I can get these?

Made it to colonia finally

I remember when I got the game, I used to think that making the trip to colonia was some big deal because it would take me hours and hours of jump after jump. Yesterday, I made the trip in under 2 hours. I believe it took under 60 jumps total. But it wasnt jump after jump like it is when i plan a route. I had to open galaxy map and type in next destination before every single jump. Spansh said 54 jumps, but I had to refuel a few times, so I had to jump to a neighboring fuel star a few times unless the neutron star system i was in had a secondary fuel star, so it added a few jumps extra to the whole trip. But having an 84ly caspian explorer and using neutron stars made all the difference. It's great that the caspian is able to jump 500ly after overcharging on a neutron star. I can't imagine someone making this trip withkut neutron star and using a 30ly ship. It would probably take like 20-30 hours of straight jumping.

So I'm in colonia now, now what? Is there something people like to do in this region besides engineering?

Panther clipper mk2

After grinding for over 2 months, I finally bought myself the panther clipper mk2. It is my 11th ship. After outfitting and engineering, my total cost was 610 million credits, and I got 1062 cargo space and 49ly jump range unloaded and 34ly fully loaded. Now this beats exobiology by far when it comes to making credits fast. I tried out some trade routes 5 jumps away from my home system and this ship is bringing in 230 million credits per hour. The only regret i have is that i didn't get the 7a shields and kept the 7e one and engineered it. I also got 3 shield boosters which I also engineered. I hope this will be enough. The only danger I really have is if pirates interdict me but I hope this will be enough protection. Or should I get the 7a shields?

Cargo trading/trade route ships

I recently got the anaconda for cargo trading, and with my current setup, I have 336 cargo capacity. I use it whenever I want to make fast credits since I'll look up trade routes on inara, and I could make up to 100 million per hour doing this. However, after I got the anaconda, I learned that type 9 has double the cargo capacity, and it's much cheaper to buy and outfit than Anaconda. Should I have bought the type 9 instead? Or is it too good to be true? It seems like I could make 200 million credits per hour with type 9. How does it compare to anaconda for cargo trading?

Struggling with on foot combat?

When i first got this game, one thing i had a hard time with was in foot combat. Anytime I would try to raid a settlement, i would die almost right away. It was so frustrating because I loved everything else about the game but hated how hard on foot combat was. Now i love it, i can easily take on 6-8 scavengers and take them out. What i did to achieve this was upgrade my suits and weapons, and also started taking on frontline solutions ground combat missions to improve my still. But the suit upgrade makes a huge difference. I upgraded my maverick and dominator to grade 5, mostly by taking on missions and choosing materials rewards instead of pay. I also got lucky and found a manticore executioner with audio masking installed on it already. I upgraded the executioner, oppressor, and tormentor to level 5. So for those of you that want to give up the game due to difficulty, upgrade your suits and weapons and you will have a much easier time.

I started playing a couple of weeks ago, and I'm a bit disappointed with on foot combat. It seems really difficult. I have tried doing settlement raids, but every time I get into combat against more than 1 or 2 npc i die. The npcs are really difficult to fight against. Also, i play with controller because I hate flying the ship with keyboard and mouse, and once I start the game with a controller, it won't let me switch to key and mouse mid game. I have seen videos on YouTube of people doing great on foot, but I just can't get a grasp of it. I wish they had aim assist, and it wasn't so hard to npcs. Do any of you guys have good success with on foor combat using conrollers?
