R53 owners with aftermarket steering wheels/hubs

Installed the NRG quick release (200BK/SRK-MINH) today, but noticed there’s a slight wiggle from the steering wheel. I read somewhere that a fix is to add a M14 3mm thick washer to the bolt.
Has anyone else experienced this?

I also think the resistors didn’t sit right because my airbag light is on (disconnected battery before/during install). Tried clearing the code with my ANCEL but did not work. Also read I may have to double up the thin wires and then plug it into the airbag connectors. Horn works so I guess there’s that. 😅

I have not driven it other than backing it from the driveway & parking it.

Thoughts?

Why is the intake (from throttle body) such a PITA!?

Something that should take only 5 mins fought me for 30 because of the OEM clamp and the new silicone tube not wanting to stay on the throttle body section. Just getting in there afterwards to tighten the new one was a royal PITA.

Next week the sparco install. I hope for an easier install on that…😅

Did I do a thing?

My son and I are huge JP fans. He more than me. So I got these for us from Nike.com (and the yellow ones were his Bday gift). The black ones are for me.

But I managed to find these Spizikes locally in Italy for myself at $105. Good deal?

Finally crossed the 100k hurdle

I credit the great info on Reddit and my willingness to do +5% increases for every pay grade promotions and step increases. This is a back up to the back up. 44 now and plan on punching out 62/64 (factoring my 15 years of mil service).

Joined fed service in 2019 as a Term 9.
Worked my way up the ladder through the trenches.
2021 GS11
2022 GS12
Currently: GS12 step 4 @ 25%

When the opportunity presents itself (after mil time buy back) I will max out.

Everyone’s gotta start somewhere and every bit counts…would’ve been here sooner if it were not for events outside my control (where the market dipped). But held strong and looking to be like you big savers out there!

Camshaft Pulley Wasted

Literally just pulled out the rest stop and full on limp mode. Had to coast down to an SOS (if you’ve ever been on the Italian Autostrada you know what I’m talking about). I did start to see why I smelled rubber…and then immediately shut down once I saw the problem.

How cooked am I?
