I had an interview on Saturday, I felt it went quite well but am starting to loose hope. The manager said he would discuss and get back to me Monday or Tuesday but it’s Thursday morning now and I still haven’t heard anything. Does this mean I didn’t get the job?
I previously worked at Sainsburys in my home city then transferred to a different Sainsburys for uni. I made a very stupid mistake and stole some money from the register which resulted in me having to resign from my transfer store. The manager there obviously deleted my account etc and told me they would inform my home store. I thought it wouldn’t hurt to email my manager at home asking if I could be rehired when returning home for uni and he doesn’t seem to know I was fired and said I can be rehired. Will they actually rehire me as it seems he doesn’t know and I originally worked there before my transfer? I know it’s bad to reapply but it was an honest mistake I would never make again and really want a job.
Any advice would be appreciated :)
