Does I-485 go to supervisor before or after ban lifts?

If you have an interview during the processing ban, does the I-485 go to the supervisor's desk with the I-130 before the ban gets lifted? Or does the I-485 only get sent to the supervisor after the ban is officially over?

I-765 disappeared

Has anyone had their I-765 disappear from their USCIS account while still pending? I had a marriage-based green card interview about a month ago, and about three days ago my I-765 completely disappeared from my dashboard and also from my lawyer’s account. My I-130 and I-485 are still showing normally. When I check the USCIS public case status using the receipt number, it still says “case is being actively processed by USCIS,” but it’s no longer visible in my account. Has anyone experienced this before, and did it reappear or lead to any update?

I-765 vanished post-interview

My spouse and I had our marriage-based green card interview on June 4th and everything went great! The only problem was that the officer couldn't approve us on the spot because we are part of the 39 country ban.

Today, the I-765 completely disappeared from both my spouses USCIS account and our attorney’s dashboard, though it still shows 'Processing' on the public tracker. Our attorney thinks this is a good sign that things are moving forward.

Has this happened to anyone else in a similar situation?

Case location confusion- Agent says NBC, another says local field office.

Has anyone dealt with conflicting info from USCIS agents?
I had my interview on June 4th. Yesterday, an agent told me my I-130 was sent back to the NBC. Today, another agent said that’s incorrect—both my I-485 and I-130 are at the local field office, and the last transfer was the day of my interview.
Has anyone else experienced this kind of contradiction? Does it mean anything, or is phone support just this inconsistent? Any insight would be appreciated!

Update: Why the immigration ban was lifted today for those 39 countries

https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.rid.61671/gov.uscourts.rid.61671.35.0_1.pdf

Hey, now I know why the ban was lifted today a new motion was filed today. The government had been trying to stall by saying they needed a "final judgment" before they could stop using the old policies. But the people suing them finally had enough and filed a motion to force the judge to make the government stop using those policies immediately. They told the judge that the government's delay is just an excuse and that they need to update their website and follow the new rules right now. It’s a huge relief because it means the court is finally being asked to put an end to the stalling and get the order enforced today.

Direct Quotation: Proposed Court-Ordered Actions

II. The Court should require the government to demonstrate full compliance with its vacatur order.
Plaintiffs respectfully request that the Court enforce its June 5, 2026, vacatur order by ordering Defendants to effectuate vacatur through the following actions and whatever other forms of compliance the Court deems appropriate:

• a. Within twenty-four hours of the Court’s order, circulate a copy of the vacatur order to all USCIS personnel and provide instructions to all USCIS personnel on how to comply with the vacatur order.

• b. Within twenty-four hours of the Court’s order, update the USCIS website to indicate that the Challenged Policies have been vacated.

• c. Within twenty-four hours of the Court’s order, file with the Court a written status report advising the Court as to what specific steps Defendants have taken to comply with the vacatur order.

• d. File weekly status reports with the Court thereafter until further order of the Court.

Is the hold on 39-country cases is lifted

It took 10 minutes of the agent avoiding my question and sending generic links, but they finally admitted the hold is over and they are processing those 39-country cases.
However, when I called later, they claimed they haven't received anything official yet

USCIS AGENT confirms: Hold on 39-country cases is lifted

It took 10 minutes of the agent avoiding my question and sending me general links, but they finally admitted the hold is over.

They confirmed they are now processing cases for those 39 countries again. This follows the June 5th court order that made these pauses illegal.
I hope this means we see progress on our cases soon. Just be aware that the government might still try to challenge this, so keep checking your status.

Has anyone else gotten a similar answer?

Green Card/AOS Interview Experience at 26 Federal Plaza, NYC 06/2026

We had our interview today and it went great! We arrived at 9:00 AM, went in at 10:00 AM, and were finished by 10:40 AM.

I was nervous because the officer looked serious at first, but she was sweet and chill once the door closed. She told us we looked beautiful in our wedding photos.

Regarding our status: she had already reviewed our I-130 and confirmed it’s approved. I was surprised she didn't ask a single question about our marriage, but we had submitted very strong evidence, including joint leases, a bank account, bills, joint tax returns, our wedding contract, chat/call history, and family affidavits—and she had clearly reviewed it all beforehand. Because of that, she moved right to the I-485. She explained that due to a travel ban affecting my husband's country, she cannot officially approve the I-485 yet, she has to wait for that ban to be lifted.

She went over the I-485 "yes and no" questions with my husband. We were honest about a minor arrest (suspended license) after we filed and brought dismissal papers, which she said was no problem. We also provided updated school information since he changed schools.

We brought a big bag of documents and five photo albums. We spent the time laughing and talking while she uploaded some of our day-to-day photos. She was very patient with my husband, making sure he understood every question. She even joked that I was "so fancy" when I offered to show her our wedding video album, but she looked at it at the end anyway. It felt more like a conversation than an interview.

My best advice: be honest, be organized, and bring everything you have. I'm so relieved this part is behind us. Good luck to everyone still waiting!

Could the New USCIS Memo Be Connected to the World Cup and Visa Overstays?

I spoke to several immigration attorneys about the new USCIS memo, and a few of them believe part of the reason this policy is coming out now is because of the upcoming World Cup. They expect a huge increase in tourists and temporary visitors, and they think the government is trying to reinforce that people entering on temporary visas are expected to return to their home countries, follow the terms of their stay, and not overstay their visas.

Some attorneys also mentioned that the government has become more concerned about the number of people who come to the U.S. on temporary visas, including student visas, and then end up overstaying. They said this memo seems aimed at tightening scrutiny around immigrant intent and making officers look more closely at each case.

I’m a U.S. citizen and my husband is from Yemen. He is here on TPS, which was just saved by the judge’s ruling. We filed on 02/17/2026 and our interview is on June 4th in NYC. Since Yemen is on the 2026 banned list, has anyone from those 39 countries actually been approved lately, or is everyone just being put on hold?
