Thrifted denim jacket rework — all applique hand-stitched from black denim scraps. No machine, no paint. Tribal mask, flames, and lips. From my floor in Abia, Nigeria.
All hand stitched, no machine, no glue, just like the rest of my work.
Light blue thrifted denim jacket + black/dark denim scraps I cut into flames and a tribal mask. Front has the flame shoulders, back has the mask + side flames + lip patch at the top.
Every piece cut and stitched by hand on my floor. Took me about 12+ hours. Made in Abia, Nigeria — part of my LEX TRIBAL 1of1 series.
Still learning placement but happy how the flames came out. What do you guys think of the mask on the back? Too big or just right?
I don't own a sewing machine yet so I hand-stitch everything. Reworking a shirt that's been hanging on my wall for 6 months — black denim scraps on light blue cotton, 2am WIP.
No machine, no glue. Just needle, black denim, and hand stitching. Based in Abia, Nigeria.
This is a cropped shirt I'm turning into samurai vs panther armor. Shoulder bars + diamond chest piece, all cut from thrifted black denim and stitched onto a light blue thrifted shirt.
About 6 hours in. The loose thread on the pocket is still hanging, still pinning pieces.
Happy to get feedback on placement — I was thinking of adding one more small diamond above the panther to balance it.
