I rarely get pre-made, pre marinated items. But these ribs were speaking to me! They were fantastic! And two huge racks for $20. Can't beat it!
Bake them in the oven low and slow, then did a quick smoke with my drink smoker. Wonderful.
Does this count as inclusions? I made a colorful sourdough! It was really hard mixing in the colors. I used gel Wilton food coloring right before the last stretch and fold. A little difficult integrating the coloring. Next time I will integrate as I am mixing the dough!
Recipe:
325 g of water
100 g of active starter
500 g of unbleached bread flour
11 g of salt
Baked at 420° for 30 minutes covered. 20 minutes uncovered. Added a few cubes of ice!
No difference in taste with the food dye! I was afraid the dye was going to affect the rise. Really happy with how this turned out!
Here for a conference and had a very successful presentation with a co-worker! Very exhausted from socializing for four days straight. The only thing redeeming about this hot weather is the pool that we had at the hotel. Had to apply sunscreen literally every half hour so my Appalachian ass didn't get burned. Cannot wait to get home.
Breakfast: eggs Benny, smoke salmon with capers, watermelon, potatoes with hot sauce, and my three drinks. Edit: forgot about the biscuits and gravy!
Don't be afraid to think outside the box!!! We had around 60ish people, and had a sourdough pizza bar for our wedding food. 5 different varieties! I even grabbed some gluten free dough for my friends who had celiacs. People went home with boxes of pizza and thought it was the coolest thing ever!!! Our friend has a pop up stand in the Pittsburgh area, so look at your options for food :)
My mom spent 3 months baking over 700 cookies for our reception!!! Not many people are familiar with the Pittsburgh wedding cookie table, but when you see one, they are glorious!!!
