Every single website asking if I want to opt out of collecting and sell my data.
It is especially annoying to me when you have to dig through menus and finally find the place where you can opt out of the website collecting and using your cookies. Or when the menu doesn’t have a “x” button in the corner and only a “ok” button.
Like yes I know I can constantly use a VPN or something like that but why can’t I just tell everybody at one “I don’t authorize anyone to collect or sell my data”
Especially on my phone, whenever I go to any website it takes up the whole screen.
Rewatching “Spirit” (2002) and “Prince of Egypt” (1998) with my kid.
I’m a newish dad and my kid is finally old enough to watch movies and actually follow along. So it’s been fun to rewatch movies from my childhood.
But wow I forgot how good these two movies are. I knew that I liked them as a kid but now that I’m an adult they are even better. Dreamworks was really on a tear and that’s not even including Shrek 1 and 2 which are great in their own right.
Both of these movies and ELITE soundtracks that I feel should be talked about more. I know the Prince of Egypt music is widely loved but both of them are just so good. Hans Zimmer is such a beast. And you don’t even have to be religious to appreciate The Prince of Egypt and the adult tones that it presents. The cast in both these movies is so good. I didn’t realize Matt Damon was the horse until he started narrating.
I’m just saying everyone should rewatch Spirit if you haven’t watched it in a while, because it really is a top 10 movie for me even though it is animated kids movie. Particularly the scene where the horse is being captured and lead away to the army camp has some of the best looking frames and scenes. I got Sicario vibes with the lighting and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade opening shots vibes with the desert landscapes
Idk what I’m sayjng anymore but does anyone have animated movies that were fun as a child but watching them as an adult was a different experience?
I mean the whole movie is phenomenal but specifically the last 20 minutes is pure cinematic perfection. I mean that very much unironically.
The acting, the casting, the music, the story, it’s all just perfect.
I have always loved this movie but I just rewatched it with a new surround sound system that I recently installed and the music was just perfect.
I really believe that this is one of the most underrated lesser-known movies ever. But I’m glad that I get to know and love it.
Anyone else have a favorite 20ish minutes of pure cinematic perfection?
