What is this white mushy stinky stuff?

Found in worm bin today. White mushy substance that had an awful smell. Looked like goat cheese. I manage this bin at a community garden and I haven’t fed the worms in probably two weeks. I can’t imagine it’s from over feeding them but I’m at a loss unless somebody else fed them actual cheese. I have overfed my worms before and it’s usually just mushy food. This was large chunks of white thick mush, just like goat cheese.

I removed as much as I could. I’ll check in on them in a week to see if there is more. Any ideas on what this is?

Feed birds without attacking rwcooms?

I live in a metro area with lots of raccoons (and giant squirrels). I’ve recently started feeding the birds. I’ve been having lots of hummingbirds and other birds that I have enjoyed attracting to my yard. But we have been having nightly visits from raccoons drinking the nectar and eating all the bird seed. They also knocked down my bird house and took out all the nesting materials.

Any tips to feed the birds without attracting raccoons??

**I have a dog, but the dog doesn’t wake at night.
