In anticipation of the arrival of Hooded Cobra Commander and throne, I'm wondering where to display him. The simple answer is to just swap him out with my existing Retro Card CC, but then I'm left with a couple of other problems, i.e. where to put Baroness and Destro. Also, I still love the helmeted version, so where does he go?

Anyone else start thinking about where to put figures you don't have yet?

Hey all, been a while since I posted any shelfies. Thought I'd share a few pics of my current, (maybe) complete Avengers display.

I'm really happy with all the versions I have here. I swapped out retro card Hawkeye for the Sky Cycle version and bit the bullet and shelled out for the Earth's Mightiest Black Widow. I also swapped out the Scarlet Witch I had for the WCA retro card version. She-Hulk, Starfox, and SW Falcon are recent additions, really tying up the 70's/early 80's feel I was going for.

If Hasbro ever gets around to issuing a George Pérez inspired Beast, I'd surely add him, but aside from that, I think I'm pretty much done!

Do you see any glaring omissions on my part? Let me know!

No, they're not the sturdiest figures ever, but man do I like the way they look on the shelf.

This guy deserves all the praise I've seen here and elsewhere. Happy to finally add him to the display.

Any tips for removing Frank's ammo/grenade harness that don't involve cutting it off? I think heating him up and removing an arm at the bicep might work, but I don't know how easy it would be on this body type.

I've been lucky enough to get all the versions of Spider-Man I think I'm gonna need for a while. I've got Secret Wars Black Suit, Maximum, Retro Card Animated and Ben Reilly, MTG Battle Damage, Secret Wars Symbiote, and Retro Card Pizza Spidey in my main display. Over on the Spidey allies and enemies fire escape I've got Retro Card Cyborg Spidey with Deathlok for a little comic cover homage. I know there's tons of versions available, but for me, I feel like this is a pretty good core assortment.

I have limited space for a Defenders display, so I selected Hulk, Dr. Strange, and Namor because they're the core members in my mind. Silver Surfer could be in there, as well, but he came on a little later. For the others, I chose Hellcat, Valkyrie, and Nighthawk because they spent a lot of time on the team (non-team?) over the years. I thought about Daimon Hellstrom, but I've never been too keen on that character. Gargoyle would've been great, but he's not received the Legends treatment, yet. Moondragon would fit in well, also.

If space wasn't an issue, who would your ideal Defenders set up be? There's tons of options, as there have been so many members (Luke Cage, Moon Knight, Ghost Rider, Angel, Beast, Iceman, etc.)

Just got the Mattel DC Core wave from BBTS, and there's a pretty significant paint defect on the Bat emblem. All the other figures are fine. I've already sent photos in to customer service, hoping for a replacement. Anyone else seen this issue?

UPDATE:Return was successful, but Core Batman is already out of stock on BBTS, so I'm getting a store credit refund instead of a replacement. He's sold out on Amazon and Entertainment Earth apparently, as well.

I came across this guy today for the second time, pulled the trigger, and I have to say this is an AWESOME figure! Admittedly, I haven't been a fan of much from the McFarlane DC line, but this is such a classic look for Hal. Nice head sculpt, looks good in various poses, solid articulation. I wish he came with a power battery accessory, but both of the power effects are pretty cool.

These were all the comic ML's I found today. Two 2023 figures at 2026 prices (seen on the pegs here for at least a year) and a 2024 figure on clearance (never seen him at regular price here.) Make it make sense.

I'm beginning a display that I realize may take a while to complete seeing as how Vance and Yondu are the only figures available from the classic lineup. I suppose classic Star-Lord wouldn't look totally out of place, though. Anyone else hoping for more classic (Starhawk, Martinex, Charlie 27) GOTG characters down the line?

What a day/week! I got everything unboxed, heated, posed, and placed. I even organized my accessory storage and bagged a bunch of figures, BAF parts, and Secret Wars shields.

The top corner (1st pic) came together nicely. I originally envisioned Hulk in the center, but then I decided to build out a little Defenders team in the next section to the left, so it made sense to move him over to be a part of that once it comes together later this week.

I ended up revamping my Avengers display, removing a couple of figs to make room for Warbird and eventually Falcon whenever the rest of the new SW wave hits BBTS. I swapped out my old Scarlet Witch for the retro card, which I'd been wanting to do for a while (shout out to Immunoman for selling it to me). Definitely an upgrade.

Gamerverse Wolverine is an AWESOME figure! I had him posed in like five seconds. I'm not sure he fits in w the rest of my OG/Giant Size #1 X Men, though. He's pretty bulky and those headwings are a little big for my taste.

SW Wolverine, on the other hand fits in perfectly! I love that smirk, swapped him in for the '97 Brown Suit 2 Pack Wolverine (who I loved💔).

Disco Dazzler rules! (another shout out to Immunoman). I know she wasn't officially a member of the team with this look, but this is her look I dig the most.

I'd been meaning to pick up Lady Deathstrike for a while, glad I finally did. I should have her displayed w Mystique's Brotherhood/Freedom Force, but that will take some reworking.

A couple of hosses to round out the X Villains with Silver Samurai and Omega Red. Not entirely happy with their poses, but they work for now. I'm open to any suggestions.

Moving on to the SHIELD three pack, and MAN what a load out! So many extra hands and weapons. The long hair Sharon head sculpt is amazing, great paint aps. I don't know anything about Nick Fury Jr as a character, so I slapped a Hank Pym head on the body and voila, instant Clay Quartermain! Dum Dum is perfect, no notes. Decided to stick w the skinny Nick Fury I've had for a while for now, and threw Union Jack in, just because.

I have a decent HYDRA set up now, with all their main baddies. Not super stoked on Viper/Madame Hydra, tbh.

Nefaria, Egghead, and Whiplash will surely get moved around from where they are now. Really happy with all of therm, and they were on sale at BBTS.

I like the sculpt on Enchantress, but she was hard to get to stand up, even w stands. She still needs some posing.

Closing out with Titania, she looks great with Beyonder and the other Secret Wars baddies, although she could use a better pose.

All in all, a rewarding and fun day fully immersed in this hobby we all love! I'm open to all thoughts, suggestions, recommendations y'all might have, and if you've read all the way to this point, THANK YOU!

BBTS sale, Ebay, and Reddit buys. Been prepping my display all week to make room! So stoked. I had to stand on my couch to get this pic! 🤣🤣🤣

UPDATE: Classic Beast is taking over for Astonishing Beast. He's a great figure, but he's always been kind of a placeholder.

I've been satisfied w having the Astonishing X Men Beast in my X display for a while now, but I just picked up the classic Jim Lee style Beast off Ebay at a price I was happy with. My question is...Do I swap out Astonishing Beast for the classic on the X shelf, OR do I keep Astonishing Beast where he is and find room for classic Beast in my Avengers display?

I finally decided to pick up the A.W.E Striker from Pulse and when it arrived I discovered it was missing the .50 Cal and the rocket launchers. There was an extra accessories pack included instead, so I got doubles of the helmets, neckerchiefs, coffee cups, rockets, etc.

I immediately contacted Pulse, and they were actually really helpful and responded quickly. I was hoping they would just send along the missing parts, but instead, they sent me a complete replacement A.W.E Striker! So, hats off to Hasbro in this case for making it right and taking care of it quickly.

Now I have an extra almost complete vehicle along with a complete Crankcase. Any ideas on what I should do with them?

Also, I realize that the ammo belts should be going into the other sides of the machine guns, but doing it this way made more sense. Still, the ammo for the .50 Cal looks wonky to me. Any suggestions on how to more accurately mount them?

I reworked my Avengers shelf today. My goal was to feature Hawkeye and the Sky Cycle a bit more prominently. I was hoping to get it at more of an angle, but it just kept toppling over. Any advice is welcome!

I also experimented with depth having Wasp and Scarlet Witch really sticking out front. It definitely solved some space issues.

Of course, I'll be doing it all over again when Falcon arrives!

Just finished up the 83-86 (and a little 87) shelf. I used the explosion artwork from 3DJoes for the background. Left some space for Wild Bill and Airtight (otw). I tried to group them by year, but it gets a little loose in the middle to keep Hawk centered to maintain continuity with the other shelves.

Really happy with how it turned out!

In the midst of re-tooling my Classified display, and I'm feeling good about how the top shelf has come together. It was feeling a little bare with just the OG 82's, so I filled it out with some of my favorite characters from '83 and '84.
