Is passive immersion bullsh*t or does it actually help besides getting familiar with the language

Listening to podcasts and whatnot during doing other stuff, also does the level of language matter during passive immersion ?

I need help deciding on whether to keep going on anki or take a break to learn the radicals

Ive started 1 month ago, finished hiragana and halved katakana. I learned 115 words on anki deck i found called core 2k/6k, but i dont know any of the radicals. I wonder if i should start on radicals or would that be just a waste of time. Sometimes the deck doesnt even teach some of the kanji but words the kanji is used in, will that bite me in the arse in the future. I want to be able to start immersion as soon as possible. Are they any immersion content you would recommend?

Exaggerated a bit imo

Everytime i saw the movie on instagram its made out to be the SADDEST movie ever and youre better off not watching because its so sad. The movie had a sad middle with a happy ending and almost everything worked out for both. Idk if its the usual internet habit of making everything out to be "THE thing" whether its the saddest, the best, or the most depressing everything gets a shallow title.

Question about the relationship of the main characters

Im wondering if shouko really loved shoya when she said i love you to him, or was it just that she has built a wrong idea of him and that was just misdirected emotional moment? I know i havent explained what i meaned the best but i feel like its understandable,
TLDR:did she love him or was she confused on what love is?
Edit: i dont mean during or towards the end of the story, i mean before she jumped off; when she tried to say i love you to him. Im asking because it felt a bit out of the blue.
