Low cost activities for kids?

I have a 7 and 9 year old. We plan to do the bike park one day (biking down the hill on greens, like ez does it). We did train wreck trail last month. Today we did the meadows pool (park and spray park are closed!). Visited the library, got ice cream… we have 6 days here and most of the activities I see (zip lining , horseback riding, riding the gondola) will cost us $200-$300 each day. So…. Looking for activities that are Lower cost for the next five days :-) vallea lumina starts at 10 pm but bed is 9 at the latest or we have melt downs. The summer kids activities are $14 a ticket for 20 minutes. With 2 kids that’s $90 and hour for bouncy castles 😂😩

Tomorrow is pure bread for breakfast with the park, the library, lunch at the hotel, then riding bikes to lost lake and hanging there.

Any other lower cost activities to keep them occupied this week that I might have looked over?

Alpine Greens - no bike storage?

We’ve stayed at the aspens before and they had a cage in the parking lot. From the welcome email for our unit it sounds like this is not the case for alpine greens! Is there somewhere nearby that offer bike storage??? We have a $12k mtb so a ring rack isn’t going to cut it.

Buff and coat or refinish aluminum oxide?

We have engineered hardwood floors, about 2000 square feet worth. Right in front of the balcony, my kids left snow boots and about five boards have their finish peeling.

I’ve contacted at least six places and they won’t touch it. Said full refinish of the whole floor or nothing. Surely there’s a way I can scuff up or sand the aluminum off these individual boards and then put a new polyurethane on them? Has anyone done this? I don’t want to change the color or have to restain, it’s only the coating that has the issue. And I don’t even care if it’s a perfect match I just want it less conspicuous than whatever this is.

Has anyone done this before? Would a chemical like bona floor refinished work or is there a tool for sanding I need?

Rise Academy - Rejected Darkness - SPOILERS

Can someone spoil this series for me please? The premise sounds good but there’s so much I just can’t take with the book that I’m 99% going to dnf at the 50% mark of book 1. It reads very much like a first draft, the characters are too cliche for me, and it’s very one dimnensional. There’s also so many continuity errors and mistakes that it almost feels like reading one of those pay per chapter books that forces the story down your throat (and I’m pretty sure I know where most of this is going).

Spoilers obviously if you haven’t read it - but I DO one of want to know what happens in this / book 2 if anyone can tell me?

  1. I assume she’s lucifers daughter

2 does her rejected mate join her harem or does it look like he will?

3 is warrick just automatically accepted or does she actually grow a backbone after everything he did?

4 does the FMC grow ANY kind of backbone? She’s written like a child who just goes along with whatever she’s told by whomever she gets told it by, without a single thought or personality of her own. It feels icky.

Here with the kids for a week. We’ve done a ton of biking, the mine(the kids loved the tour and panning!), the village, a scavenger hunt, the library, pretty much all the stuff we can walk to as well. We’re skipping vallea lumina this trip and MIGHT do the tree adventure but they’ve already done wildplay in maple ridge a lot.

They loved gold panning at Brittania and want to do it again but pretty sure you’d have to do the tour too- is there anywhere we can go to find rocks? They have a rock book and app so I thought they might like that for a couple hours.

We’d also like to do mini golf but it looks like that opens may 15? Are people bringing their own clubs or is there somewhere renting them I can’t see? We saw a couple there this week.

Any other activities we can do to kill time for the next two days? I’m thinking the indoor pool and mini golf today, maybe rock searching tomorrow if I can find a good spot. It would be awesome if they could find a piece of quartz or something
