Anyone want to hangout today?
Hey! I’m a 32M, thinking of heading to downtown Portland to play some pool or walk around the city. Anyone want to hangout? I thought why not post on here and give a shot. Don’t know Portland too well.

Hey 👋🏻 this is not a dating post at all I swear. I just moved to Ridgefield a week ago, not from far away though just from Woodland.
I’m going out on a limb here but I’m looking for new people to meet in the area because I’m going through a divorce right now and could really use the opportunity to make new friends. I’m a 32M, my life revolved around being a husband and a father, so haven’t really gotten the chance to meet new friends in years. I’m a dedicated dad, sports guy and really like getting outdoors. I love going to the Raptors games.
If you have gone through a divorce and know what it’s like or just are looking for new friends too then hit me up or tell me where to go to meet people. I don’t drink much so not really interested in Taps or a bar.
Thanks for reading!
Hey! I promise I’m not as lame as the title sounds, just turned 32 male here, my name is Luke and I’m a recently divorced dad of 1 kiddo. Divorce sucks and it can be isolating. So figured I’d try this.
I’m half extrovert, half introvert and I’m just trying to get out there and meet new people. Any gender, age or whether you’re an introvert, extrovert doesn’t matter to me. Just looking for other locals that want to get together and explore Portland or check out some close by events. I work a lot but I can make time. It’d be cool to meet other parents or divorced people that would get what it’s like. But not at all a requirement type thing,

Really going through it tonight as the title says. I don’t want to keep bothering people near me by going on about the pain of my divorce. I was fine yesterday but today is rough, roller coaster of emotions and today is definitely a crappy day.
Not sure what the point of this post is… just need someone to talk to that is going through divorce and maybe having a crappy day too.
Looking at apartments today because I’m letting her keep the marital home. Apartments aren’t bad or anything but it’s definitely different and will be a change from a big house to a small apartment. It’s definitely a humbling experience and makes me cherish what I have and try to be as happy and positive about the future as I can.
Trying not to be stuck on caring about material things, because in the end they really do not matter.
Life really can be a roller coaster ride and change in an instant! Starting completely over at 31.
I know this question is kinda pointless, but I wanted to get others people’s perspective. Someone else to tell me they’re miserable too, so I don’t feel so alone.
It’s been 5 months since my wife asked for a divorce, we have not filed, nothing has been done really. We started ‘separating’ a few weeks ago due to her starting to talk to someone else. Up until then we were sleeping in the same bed, acting the same. Nothing sexual though. We were getting along better than we have been in a long time for the past 5 months. Then all of a sudden she starts talking to this random guy 2 states away off of Snapchat.
Last night she went out after we put our son to bed and walked around talking to him on the phone for a few hours. It was very painful and was hard to bite my tongue. It felt like a slap in the face. Am I being irrational? It feels so early and so disrespectful to be doing this to me so early and all of a sudden. Emotional pain is definitely harder than I ever thought possible.
Im letting her keep the house and getting an apartment within the next month. I’m really trying to emotionally detach from her and get through this withdrawal of her, she seems to not care at all about what she’s doing to me.
If you got this far, thanks for reading. I just need to hear from anyone going through this and what their thoughts are.
Every time I feel sad or upset or even jealous. I keep telling myself life is short, just stop thinking of her and get over it already, to just start moving on and find someone new like she’s doing. I am only 4 months in the process but still I can’t help getting upset with myself that I can’t just shut my feelings off.
Thinking of being with someone else makes me feel sad and feels wrong. But also I could unfortunately use the attention.
I really hope to never go through something like this again. It’s a constant emotional roller coaster. I’m fine one day and exited for the future than the next day I’m so down in the dumps I don’t want to be near anyone or do anything.
How did you handle realizing they just don’t give a sh*t about you anymore?
I’m 4 months out from being told we are getting a divorce and it’s just obvious the love she had for me is gone. It’s very painful, but I think I should use it as fuel to finally start to move on and stop trying to be a good friend to her and take her off the pedestal I’ve had her on. She’s become cold towards me, she’s now talking to another guy, it’s just gotten worse and worse.
I’m moving out here soon as I’m allowing her to stay in the marital home with our son. I’m hoping it gets better for me after I move out and separate from her.
It’s just hard, it’s like getting off an addictive drug.
