When season + Kibbe come together!

Sharing my joy! I was professionally typed as a Golden Spring (IMF system) after a year of thinking I was a soft autumn.

It’s like a cloud has lifted! I had tried adapting my wardrobe and makeup, but it felt like it was dragging me down and making me look way older.

Spring color has brought so much more fun and playfulness into getting dressed!

At the same time, I’ve been learning how to work my Flamboyant Natural Kibbe type and Natural-Classic-Dramatic essences. I’m basically a tomboy / SoCal skater girl at heart— but I’m drawn to chic minimalism. It’s been hard to reconcile the two—especially for professional looks. The consultant said “your style and your taste are two different things” and it suddenly clicked.

I wore this outfit to a conference this week and it’s the most confident, comfortable and “me” I’ve ever felt in a business setting!

The chores and tasks never end

I’m currently high-functioning and able to consistently be “productive”. But no matter how much I get done, there’s more… or I have to do it all over again in a few days.

Wash clothes, fold clothes, hang clothes, put away clothes, load dishwasher, unload dishwasher, wipe counters, take out trash, reload bag, buy toilet paper, pick up dog toys, get mail, get groceries, meal prep, change sheets, vacuum, dust, mop, car wash, pharmacy, pay bills, check budget, wash hair, shave legs, style hair, brush teeth, clean mouth guard, feed dog, walk dog, make appointment, buy gift, book flight….

It’s so much and it never stops! More than the effort, I think it’s the sheer volume of things that bothers me.

Does anyone else feel overwhelmed by this? I can’t tell if I’m just doing it wrong or if the drain of all of this task initiation is compounding and wearing on me.

(Also, I don’t intend to be insensitive to those who are struggling much more with even executing one task!)
