Family friendly neighborhoods

Hi all! Looking to relocate to Centennial area. I have elementary school age kids and would love to have them in a neighborhood with other kids their age who go to the local public school. Which neighborhoods would you suggest that fit this criteria?
Thanks

Hating summer

I live in a hot climate. Like already highs in the 90s. It is awful between May and October. My kids got out of school this week and now we are stuck inside for the next 2 months. It doesn’t make sense. Most places seem to have desirable weather in the summer when the kids are out of school. My kids are still sick all winter during cold and flu season so it doesn’t even feel like we get to enjoy the cooler temps.

I’m wanting a place where it’s cool enough for the kids to play outside all summer- and where kids do play outside. Does it exist anymore?

Where do you live and love it (within US)? I will literally move anywhere, I’m so fed up with this heat.

Defeated

I have a 5yo boy and 1yo boy.

My 5yo is just so exhausting. Doesn’t listen. Chooses to be defiant.

Transitions are particularly challenging. Getting dressed? A struggle. Going out in public? Nightmare.

I don’t know who I am anymore or what I enjoy. Anything relating to my kids is unenjoyable.

Today we went to a birthday party at a park/splash pad. Party is over. Everyone else leaves. I tell my kid “5 more min”. Time is up. He will not leave. I walk away and wait for him at near the exit. Five minutes later I go yank him off the playground and take him to the car. I yell at him and I cry. I hate myself. I hate the mom I am.
