Trying to get a refund

I bought a bracelet on Etsy and there were two sizes with two different prices. One is 1.7mm stones, one is 2mm stones. I bought the 2mm size.

When it arrived, it came from India and not from USA like the shop listed. As soon as I opened it I knew it looked small. I have another 2mm bracelet and it looked smaller than that. I have calipers so I measure it and it’s 1.6mm.

I reached out to the seller asking for at least a refund of the difference in price from the 2mm to the 1.6mm. He gaslit me and told me to pop the stones out and measure the stones and they would be 2mm???? How a bracelet width could be smaller than a stone width? Not possible. Then they sent me a picture of a bracelet in calipers showing it is 2mm. There is no way to verify that is the same bracelet.

So I opened a help request with Etsy and sent all the pictures showing the listing where I bought 2mm and the calipers picture showing it’s only 1.6mm. Now it says I can come back between June 1 and July 2 to open a case as that’s when the bracelet was supposed to arrive.

I’m just stressed and wondering if you think Etsy will side with me?

The seller said it’s not returnable as it was custom made. But surely if they send you a different product than what you ordered it can be returned?

Just looking for advice if you’ve been in a similar situation. I’m very stressed as it was almost $500.

This, too, shall pass

Is the way I wrote it in the title the correct way? On tattoos and pendants and stuff I always see it as just “this too shall pass”

Just want to know the correct way before I get it engraved on a pendant!

I order a lot online and I always pay the duties etc online through the Canada post website. Today the mail man came and told me I had to pay duties for it. I told him I’d already paid online and I showed him the email receipt that says I’ve paid and it gives him a barcode to scan. He said no no I don’t think so you have to pay. I’ve had issues with this particular mail man before doing the same thing and just taking my package and then I pick it up a few days later at the post office (where they scan it and see I’ve already paid).

Today I had enough. I said I’ve paid the duties for my package and I’m taking my package. I took the package from his hands (he was holding it out) and turned to go back inside. He started yelling no no no and grabbed me hard by the arm. I pulled away from his grip and locked the door. He said I’m going to call my supervisor and I said go ahead.

It’s my package and I’ve paid for it, he can’t just hold onto because he doesn’t understand how online payments work.

I want to be very clear that I was in no way aggressive and I did not touch him at all.

Now I’m just scared the police are going to come for me or something.

Has anyone had anything similar happen? I’m a bit shook up.
