PSA: You aren’t supposed to talk during the movies

Last 3 times I went to the AMC theater it’s nonstop chitter chatter. I’m not a stickler about etiquette in most other instances, but cmon. I didn’t pay for this movie to listen to you commentate. I don’t mind being a confrontational person but I typically hold my tongue in the theater because I really don’t want to create a distraction

I'm 21, moved out the day I turned 18, and both of my parents have died since then, AMA

Feel like the title summed this up pretty well lol. I've lived in a great bit of states due to my family dynamic. I had a feeling both of them would die early, but I was never able to do anything about it.

I cut off all my friends.

I used to feel like me and my friends had a good bond. A strong, brother-like bond. We’re all in our early 20s and have known each other since like 6th grade. Today I cut them all off.

In the friend group I had maybe two friends that I could’ve called my best friends. The issue with them is that they would genuinely never want to hang out. One of the friends, I messaged several times about why that’s the case and tried to reason with them. They basically said they don’t know what I’m talking about. The other friend is a people pleaser and if I asked to hang out, he’ll say yes, but then cancel.

About a month or so ago, I invited my friends to my place to watch a sports game, which all agreed to. One by one they all cancelled, and one of the people I’d considered my best friends said he wouldn’t go if nobody else went. This hurt because I felt like we should be able to hang out 1 on 1.

Today, I tried one last time to talk to my “best friend” about never hanging out. Same behavior. Cut him and everybody else off.

I hate feeling needy because I just want to hang out with my friends. I’m in college, so I’m gonna try and meet new friends there.
