Tried the Herman Miller Aeron today
I have been reading and watching a lot of videos about office chairs this past week, as I am finally realizing that my old Clutch Chairz Throttle Pewdiepie Edition is not actually that comfortable nor ergonomic.
Today I went to a big showroom where they had the Herman Miller Aeron and a bunch of other office chairs that I didn’t recognize, except for Herman Miller Sayl.
Some of the Aeron’s had remastered written on the pricetag, but they all had the PostureFit SL, so I guess they were all remastered.
I am 6’2 (189 cm), weigh 198 lbs (90 kg) and I preferred the size C.
I tried maybe 10 different chairs, but the Aeron was vastly superior to the others imo. After trying the Aeron, I just felt annoyed when I sat in any of the other chairs. It just felt much more relaxing and comfortable to sit in the Aeron.
It was the only fully mesh chair that I tried, however a few weeks ago I tried my cousin’s Sihoo Doro C300 and was impressed by that too, so I guess I really like mesh chairs.
I was there for about 40 minutes and 25 of those minutes were probably spent in the Aeron. When I left the place I noticed that my back felt sore. I have never felt like this after sitting in a chair. The feeling went away after about 30 minutes, but this has me worried about getting the Aeron now.
So to any Aeron owners, did you feel sore in the beginning of your ownership and did the soreness go away after your body got used to it?
