Producers are trying to be lawyers these days

If there’s no financial damage done, who cares if rappers “steal” our beats? Yall should feel proud that a new artist took a liking to your work. That’s how it’s supposed to be.

I’ve seen producers on here telling brand new, blossoming artists that they need to clear every sample they use in their beats.. that’s just insane.

Here’s the thing: if you aren’t making any money off of the art, then you’re not hurting anyone’s pockets by simply creating it. Use every resource available to you until you are capable of generating income with it, and then worry about all the legalities..

Until then, treat it like the Wild Wild West, man.. no one’s gonna come knocking on your door because you used a snare drum that you didn’t pay for. There ain’t a single producer on here that’s gonna come for you if you “steal” their beat. This is a learning environment.

Too many people on here watch a YouTube video about Music Law, and then immediately come to Reddit and parrot what they just heard to appear like they’re more important than they are. Stop taking yourselves so seriously, man.. sheeesh.

Quit my job to get a sense of freedom for the first time in my adult life, got a food truck, and secured a space at a business that has 6 fully staffed warehouses (welders, fork lift operators, etc) that stays open nearly 24/7.

Also got a small EV to do on-site mobile deliveries.

Since I have no income until this starts (I do have savings though, I’m not broke) I would like help with the initial marketing campaign.

The plan is burgers, hot dogs, and tacos on Tuesdays.

I’d like to offer free burgers and hot dogs (limited, of course) on day one to bring in the largest possible client base as soon as possible. I would be willing to pay back 2x the loan (of no more than $1000) within 7 business days.

The initial business day being free will ultimately pay for itself, so the way I’m viewing this is such:

You fund the marketing up front, I pay you back 2x, I benefit in the long run from the foundation it would build, and the entire deal is a success because both of us win, and I don’t have to pay out of pocket while I’m currently in between sources of steady income.

Willing to provide receipts and photo/video evidence of the operation, or pretty much any info you would need (especially after I know you’re serious) just let me know.

Would like to do the grand opening Monday, as everything has been delivered to the site and is ready to go.

Also secured a spot at a location that has 6 fully staffed warehouses and nearly operates 24/7.

I want to do the first day for free. (With limits of course)

Just doing burgers, hot dogs, and tacos on Tuesdays..

Everything has been delivered to the site and I’m basically ready to open, even bought a small electric vehicle to do on site deliveries.

Would appreciate help doing the opening day for free (need ground beef, hot dogs, buns, and condiments) and I can pay back whatever you loan me 2x within 7 days of opening.

Can provide receipts and photos showing the operation so you know it’s legit.. I just don’t want to go broke opening up. I quit my job to start this business because I needed a taste of freedom.
