Orange Dreamsicle baker's dozen, Krispy Kreme, Toronto ON

I am a citrus FIEND!!!  Luckily, I was able to get the Orange Dreamsicle donuts today (May 17th), because it's the last day that they're being offered.  The store was so nice and gave me an extra one.  Tastes just like an orange creamsicle, YUM!!! 🍊

I turned the Cookie Dough cookie into a monster (warning: second pic NSFW 😂)

I've said multiple times in the past that Cookie Dough was my least favourite.  I tried it twice, and both times it tasted like cold butter.  Keyword —> "cold".  So I decided to warm it up, w/ extra pieces of actual cookie dough on top (thx Pillsbury).  I microwaved it for 15 seconds, and it turned so goopy that I ate it w/ a spoon.  Third time's the charm, it tasted so much better!!!  Finally, the flavour was warm brown sugar w/ a hint of butter; maybe it was all from the Pillsbury dough but I really don't care!!  My previous 6/10 rating of the Cookie Dough cookie has increased to 9/10, just needs a few less seconds in the microwave so that it doesn't look like mush, LOL!  Even tho I enjoyed the OG Cookie Dough this time around, Kendall Cookie Dough Cupcake is still superior in my eyes!!!

Lastly, the title of "least favourite Crumbl item" now belongs to Chocolate Cupcake, but I'm not trying it again 🙅🏾‍♀️

My last Semi-Sweet Choco Chunk

Even tho most of us voiced our displeasure about the removal of Semi-Sweet in summer 2025, I guess these choco chunks are now "too expensive" for corporate, kind of a shame.  I added some extra salt for good measure, because the new Chocolate Chip might not have the garnish of sea salt on top.  I know I can buy better choco chip cookies elsewhere, but Semi-Sweet was solid, 7/10.  I'm guessing that the new Chocolate Chip has milk choco chips & semi-sweet chips (not chunks); sounds good to me because that's similar to the current Double Choco.  But if the new brown sugar base lacks flavour, and possibly has no sprinkling of sea salt flakes, then that will be a downgrade to me.  We'll find out at the end of May!

Side note, I had my first custom "virgin mojito" [soda water + pineapple juice (seasonal) + mojito mix syrup + lime wedge] since corporate raised the CAD prices of dirty soda in Canada.  It sucks that it's more expensive, but I enjoyed my Crumbl mojito way more than the new Orange Dream crafted soda from McD, which I tried earlier this wk.  Also, I noticed Starbucks increased the price of adding matcha scoops to drinks, SMH!

Small spoiler update for May 25-30

Regarding the choco chip/chunk rotation, May 25-30 should be Semi-Sweet Choco Chunk.  In Canada, it's been switched to "Choco Chip Cookie" without an image or description (pics 1 & 2).  In USA, the replacement is S'mores cookie thins, and it's for the entire wk instead of just Thursday (pics 3 & 4).  I don't know what's going on, but I'm gonna buy a Semi-Sweet this wk (May 11-16) just in case.

Any thoughts?

We're probably getting Xmas In July Week! 👀

Intentionally leaked by the social media team (first pic).  One particular interaction that caught my eye: someone simply commented "no", and Crumbl's paraphrased reply was "ok cool, but we're still planning it" w/ the smirking emoji (second pic).  I feel like this is why corporate removed all the "Coming (insert date)" tags from the app; it would have been too obvious if the Xmas items were tagged "Coming July 2026".

Looking at the calendar, I think it will happen the wk of July 20th, w/ July 25th falling on the Saturday.  My personal request to the corporate lurkers, pls include Orange Roll!!!  Some ppl make actual orange rolls for the festive season!

What flavours should be in the probable Xmas In July lineup?  Or should corporate do a more summery theme wk instead?  How do y'all feel?

First pic is old, second is new.  Crumbl is now officially doing a brand partnership w/ Nutella for this cookie.  Not a lawyer, but I'm surprised that Ferrero (company that owns Nutella) is okay w/ the word "hazelnut" being dropped from the title.  The new name "Sea Salt" is a peculiar choice 🧐.  What's more important to me is that the recipe may have changed, because corporate has removed the browned butter from the description.  Now it's replaced w/ the word "original", meaning the same (usually bland to me) dough as the choco chip/chunk and M&M cookies.  Before this discovery, I was definitely getting this cookie during the first wk of June.  That has been downgraded to "undecided", I'm gonna wait on the reviews.

In 2025, it was Dessert Of The Month.  In 2026, it's Drink Of The Week, available at all Canadian locations, and the U.S. stores found via the https://crumblcookies.com/dirty-sodas link.

Cool Mom (Cooler)

base: soda water in CAN, flat water in US

plus: Sugar-Free Vanilla + Sugar-Free Coconut + Strawberry Puree + Coconut Cream

This is the Glow Up drink w/ a different name, it's the exact same recipe.  I'm pretty sure that nxt wk it will revert back to the old name.  Dessert Of The Month lasted three mths.  We'll see if Drink Of The Week still exists when the U.S. dirty soda rollout is completed.

We used to have a Milk Bar here in Toronto, but it closed down before I got a chance to visit, so I was excited to hear about the Krispy Kreme x Milk Bar collab.  I love sweet & salty combos, so the Compost Cookie donuts looked interesting.  It's the Original Glaze topped w/ cookie-flavoured icing, then they add a sweet & salty crunch mixture, and drizzled w/ caramel to finish.  After doing some digging, I found the ingredients of the crunch mixture:

  • praline pretzels
  • coffee-flavoured choco pieces
  • potato chips
  • cookie pieces made w/ oats & brown sugar & cinnamon
  • grahams

I've never tasted anything like this before!  The different flavours somehow work together, and I like the texture contrast of the crunchy topping w/ the soft donut.  The online Milk Bar store doesn't offer int'l shipping, but if they ever do, I definitely wanna try the actual Compost Cookies!  The last day of the Krispy Kreme x Milk Bar collab is May 3rd, so you can still try it this wknd if you're interested.
