I've ordered the OEM center tank pad (p/n 99994-2240) but has anyone found side pads that closely match the center pad in texture and don't partially cover the Eliminator decal? Apparently Kawasaki doesn't offer such for the Eliminator.
1000 miles
Just as I pulled into my garage today I glanced at the screen and saw the odometer reading. Had to take a picture. It's been a fun 3 months since the day I asked a buddy to ride it home from the dealership. Watching lots of YouTube instructional videos and practicing has greatly helped and now I am really enjoying the bike without getting cocky. No drops and only one close call at an intersection so far. My only regret is lacking close friends with bikes to ride with. Being 72 I guess that's understandable.
So I'm in CT and I just returned to riding after a long layoff. Riding around town I see that most Harley riders have a disdain for protective clothing. That's a personal decision but I don't understand riding around town with a baseball cap, shorts and sneakers on a 750 lb bike that doesn't have agile emergency handling. I guess it must be a HD cultural thing. I've also noticed their unwillingness to wave back at non Harley bikers. I was giving the two fingers down sign as respect to all bikers but now when I spot a Harley I don't bother.
Now that the Mrs trusts my riding ability she wants a more comfortable pillion seat for when she rides with me. Any recommendations? I don't think Corbin makes a stand alone pillion for the Eliminator. Maybe a local upholsterer or something on Amazon that someone bought and liked?
2 months of ownership. Happy with my choices. Best mod is the little lady I've been with for 15 years.
I'd like to add some auxiliary lighting on my SE. Can I lower the top of the fork boot about an inch to mount a bracket without infringing on the fork travel?
I just replaced the stock horn with the Denali Mini. Man, it's a whole lot louder and way meaner. It was an easy plug and play install but I did black out the bare metal shine on the rear of the horn for aesthetic purposes.
