Finally changed 2VN3 head unit in my 2012 CRV

I have a UK version of CRV, always wanted something modern instead of the standard head unit (dab+ support, carplay, bt connection, modern navigation), but couldn’t find enough info. Asked Claude a lot about how to and what to do, finally managed to replace it with the new aftermarket head unit. All stuff is working fine (steering wheel controls, rear camera, subwoofer). Quite happy with that

First time to Armenia by car

Hi, we are planning a big car trip that includes Armenia as well. Here are a few questions I have:

  1. We have a UK-registered car, our insurance provider doesn't cover Armenia, so as I understand our options are either buying it at the border or online? We will stay in Armenia for 2-3 days, so what are the cheapest options?

  2. Do we need to bring some cash (euros, dollars) or cards work fine in Armenia?

  3. Any particular places we should avoid?

Giving a birth in Northern Ireland

Hi, me and my wife are both naturalised UK citizens living in the UK. Just wondering, if we come to Belfast to give a birth, will our child have an opportunity to claim Irish citizenship?

Soviet radio “Meridian”

I am located in Scotland, the reception of BBC is very strong and clear. Also plenty of Spanish/French radio stations, sometimes it is possible to hear Russian stations from here.
Also I took it with me on my trip to Canada last year, a lot of stations but mostly Canadian/US ones

RU/UK citizen (travelling to US/CA)

My wife has two passports: Russian and British.
Her Russian passport contains a Canadian visa. We are planning a car trip in the US and probably will visit Canada too.
For the US it will be ESTA on her British passport, nothing special here. But I wonder, if she enters the US on her British passport and then she goes to Canada by land on her Russian passport with visa (or vice versa, entering Canada using RU passport with visa, then land crossing to the US using her UK passport), in this case how both countries will know that she left?
If she enters the US first using UK passport and then goes to Canada using Russian passport, then Canadians will pass these details to the US border guards, which won’t match her entrance details. Same vice versa.
Or should she just make a Canadian ETA for her UK passport and not bother with this issue?

Under maintenance & negligence

One of my posts earlier was about litter everywhere and everyone here was saying GCC is innocent and it’s just people are being scumbags.
But it’s not just litter, the city is dirty and nothing is being done with this. The infrastructure is crumbling, repairs are not being done or are done poorly. Streets are not being swept and there are plenty of debris all around. You can’t blame people, wrong climate or “heavy transport” for this, it is solely GCC responsibility and they don’t do their job properly. 3rd world country level for sure

I have a UK spec Honda CRV 2012 model, looking for replacing this obsolete standard unit for something modern (with DAB+ radio support, Apple Carplay, direct BT connection with my phone, modern navigation and other stuff). But looks like it won’t be so easy because connectors are different and most generic units won’t support all functions like built-in rear camera, steering wheel controls and so on. Could you advise if it is possible to upgrade

I live in the UK and we have 2G coverage. This phone works well for calls/SMS, but I can't configure WAP/MMS settings, because usually only APN is written on the carrier's website, nothing else. But this phone wants an IP address, ports, proxies and other stuff.
