Just got a new Taylor 814ce Builder’s Edition — about a year old, but brand new/unplayed, purchased from an authorized Taylor dealer. There’s some buzzing on the lower strings that sounds like it’s coming from the saddle area. Action feels low near the first few frets but gets noticeably higher moving up the neck, so I’m guessing it needs a neck relief adjustment.

I looked into Taylor’s warranty and it’s a bit unclear — they exclude “setups, adjustments, or routine maintenance” generally, but Silver-level service centers specifically list “neck angle adjustments” as a covered service. Has anyone dealt with this gray area before? Trying to figure out if this would likely be treated as a defect (covered) since it’s unplayed/new, or if I should expect to pay out of pocket for an adjustment, assuming that is all it needs.
