Tested Negative 3 Times but still symptomatic
I have had chronic BV for just shy of 2 years now. I’ve done countless courses of clindamycin and metro gel, oral metro, xaciato one time treatment, partner treatment, boric acid, probiotics, vaginal probiotics, etc. etc. etc. I then ended up testing positive for yeast and BV so treated both. I then saw my doctor again because I was still having symptoms and she did a wet mount and I was positive for yeast but no BV. We just treated the yeast with diflucan and I still have thick white discharge after sex and sometimes am itchy. No bad smell. In this whole span of time struggling with this I have done 3 separate tests for ureaplasma and mycoplasma that have all been negative. What are the chances I am still positive? I don’t even know where to go from here… I want to know if I can safely stop thinking I have ureaplasma/mycoplasma or if this still could very much be the case?
