[Extreme Alert] DDPM issued urgent flood warning for Mueang Nan (Aug 19, 2026) — Nan River overflowing
Just got the jarring DDPM cell broadcast alarm on my phone. After living through the massive destruction from the floods here last year, hearing that sound is pretty anxiety-inducing.
The official alert warns that the Nan River in Mueang Nan District is continuing to rise and is beginning to overflow its banks.

Bo
Nai Wiang
Kong Khwai
Du Tai
Urgent Actions Recommended:
Move belongings and valuables to higher ground immediately.
Relocate vehicles out of flood zones.
Evacuate vulnerable family members.
Contact your village headman (phu yai ban), sub-district chief (kamnan), or local OrBorTor if you need evacuation help.
