what is this bs??? You guaranteed me $22 and gave me $20??? seriously DoorDash?? Just waiting for a class action lawsuit to happen lmao
I handled all of your “requests” and bagged everything how you texted me it. You even made me come into your house because you were disabled! I even walked up a flight of stairs twice for 7 bags! People are absolutely cruel, can’t keep even keep their word whatsoever.
for context, they didn’t have any and she said she didn’t want the generic one, which was the only one they had. So, she needed to order from another location 😩
I finally got approved and passed the background check for Instacart, so I did my first order today. It definitely wasn’t perfect, but I wanted to get a feel of the app.
After I completed the delivery, I noticed the tip went down by $0.20. Does Instacart automatically adjust the tip if an item’s weight ends up being higher than what the customer originally requested (to avoid overcharging them), or did the customer manually lower it?
Just curious since I’m new. Thanks!
Why the hell does DoorDash keep changing their zones like this?? Most of these completely defeat the purpose of hexagon zoning. These huge stretched-out zones make absolutely no sense. If they’re going to make them this big and random, why not just make the whole damn state one zone at this point?
I was doing a DoorDash shopping order at Target, and the order included a muscle-building protein powder. The DoorDash app didn't flag it as an age-restricted item or say I'd need to verify the customer's ID.
When I got to checkout, the cashier asked for my ID to purchase the protein powder? I thought to myself “why do they need my ID for protein powder?”. I felt sketch because DoorDash didn’t say it was an age restricted item, so I told the cashier I’ll be back.
I called DoorDash Support, and they basically told me to just buy it and deliver it. That felt odd to me even more? They wanted me to use my ID to purchase the item, but then there was no requirement to check the customer's ID at delivery?
I asked if they could cancel or remove the item from the order, but they said no. The only option they gave me was to unassign the order, which would affect my completion rate. (Which I did, I didn’t wanna risk it)
Has anyone else experienced this? Is this a New York law, Target policy, or just DoorDash making me do something illegal? What would you have done in this situation?
I recently accepted a double order from Speedway for about 9 miles total for $19.
As I was walking into Speedway to pick up the orders, one of the customers called me. I answered, and she immediately asked if her order was on the way because she had been waiting a long time. She also claimed I had texted her saying I was “waiting at the store,” but I had literally just been assigned the order and hadn’t picked anything up yet. Nor, texted anyone anything.
I told her I had just received the order and would arrive in about 10–20 minutes since I had a stacked delivery. She then got angry and said, “fcking asshole, I don’t even want the order anymore,” and hung up before I could respond.
While I was still at Speedway, I also received an add-on order for $13 going about 4 extra miles from Burger King, which I accepted.
As I was leaving Speedway after picking up the orders, I contacted support. To get the customer blocked, The agent asked me if I wanted to cancel the first customer’s order after I explained what happened, and I said yes.
Because of that timing, I ended up passing her house while on my way to BK. She then texted me that I was going the opposite way.. But then after a few minutes, the agent canceled it.
I was still paid in full, and the other customer still received their order without issues.
So, AITA for canceling her order after she insulted me on the phone???
