Spinels and Aquamarines are underrated gems. They’re hard enough for all jewellery, bright enough to sparkle, and just enough out of the ordinary to feel special. All are unheated. Details in comment.

Tanzanites. It’s illegal to export most Tanzanite rough from Tanzania, so I buy locally cut gems and recut them. This means more of the value stays in Tanzania, . I bought the locally cut gems in Arusha on my last trip. Details in comment.

Zircons. These are so stunningly bright, and people often confuse the natural stone Zircon with the synthetic Cubic Zirconia. Zircons though are natural, and come in a variety of colours. Details in comment.

Half Price Gems! - How often does that happen? I like finding good homes for gems that have been with me for a while. They’re all my babies. Details in comment.

Port Moody Election Groups

There's a Facebook group called "Port Moody Local Election 2026" that seems to be a whitewash for a certain political party. Posts asking questions about the victim shaming, and support for someone who committed sexual assault are deleted and people (me, for instance, among others) are banned. I was just told I broke a rule, when in fact I have written proof that I followed the admin's rule. She deleted my post anyway, then banned a bunch of folks.

There's another group, larger, that's just getting restarted called "Port Moody Municipal Election 2026"

I figure that has a higher likelihood of not being terrible.

Umba Sapphires. The Umba Valley in Tanzania has great sapphires, known for bright colours and distinctive needle inclusions. I bought the rough in Arusha in 2025. I cut them in designs by my late husband Tom. All are unheated. Details in comment

PAIRS (and a set)! Pairs are hard to cut because the rough often seems to matches but the cut gems somehow are different colours. So I put together a nice selection of pairs and one killer concave set for the sub birthday! Details in comment.

Tourmalines - it won’t surprise anyone that I have a special love for Tourmalines. My 2nd ever gem? Tourm. My gem in the Smithsonian? Tourm. The bulk of my personal jewellery? Well you get the idea. Tourms come in all colours, shapes and sizes. This is a great selection. Enjoy! Details in comment

Sapphires in two moods, with a Peridot chaser. All of these are stunner gems. The two sapphires are unique and (to me) evoke different feelings. The Peridot is one of the best I’ve ever cut. Details in comment.
